Buckle Repair
I have a 20 year old bike messenger bag that I love. The buckle broke last week. The quote from a local shop to repair was $65! I spent a little time online and found they have the very part I needed at REI. For less than $10 i had my part and bag repaired and I got to visti the REI store (always a pleasure). Thanks REI 1

Broken down after day of use
I used it to replace broken buckle on my backpack. The holding pin (female side) broke down after 1 day of use after it received a bit of load when I was putting my backpack down. That moving plastic pin is quite flimsy and not a match to. A regular buckle.

Repair snap is a “snap!”

Purchased this repair snap for the one that broke on my Mad Bomber hat. Would have had to cut stitch, apply new buckle, re-sew strap, or go without, or throw the hat out. Found this serendipitously while looking for something else at REI. This repair snap was literally a snap to put on. Saved the day, as well as one of my favorite hats!

Modify tent

I have a Marmot Tunsten 3P tent which I purchased at REI. We love the room. We use it for camping and bike camping. My only complaint was that I couldn't use the footprint and rainfly without the tent unless I spent a lot of time staking and tying down. Also, presented a problem for set up in the rain. I used these to add to the footprint and rainfly. Works perfectly.

I was ready to write a 5 star review, but...

This was going to be a welcome and economical solution to a broken helmet clasp. Unfortunately, the snap bar broke off while trying to "snap it into place." Never got to use it. So bummed. I would still have purchased it if I had read reviews, so hopefully the one I purchased is an anomaly.

Don't bother purchasing

Purchased this to repair a buckle on the back of a hat. It broke the moment I went to snap it shut in 2 places, see photos. Glad this was not on the trail nor a mission critical repair. Would not purchase again.

Garbage!

I followed the instructions and when I went to snap the "female" part onto the strap the attached tab broke right off!

Like New

I picked up a pair of nylon shorts at a thrift shop but one of the two plastic snap buckles was missing from the webbing. I liberated the half that was left from the looped end of the webbing. Slipping this through the looped webbing was a little tough but worth the effort. The end that the webbing slips through was easy as pie. Now the shorts are like new.

Straight-foward, no fuss, great repair buckle

Nothing too complex to write - very easy to replace! I did end up using a wire cutter to remove the original piece that was not broken, but I imagine a strong pair of scissors would work, too!

Disappointed

I bought this to repair a backpack strap and it broke immediately at the quick snap end, I’m going to try the screw in pin style instead.
