Great 1st clipless pedal!

Like many novice cyclists, I was pretty nervous about trying clipless pedals. I tried my partner's Time pedals on the bike trainer and found I needed quite a bit of force to get in and out. Not a good start. I decided to go for the Click'Rs because of others' reviews and I'm very happy I did. We turned the tension right down and clipping in and out is a total breeze. I mean, really easy. Didn't get stuck once in 45 miles (or unclip when unintended). Having a flat side is a personal choice - for me, it helped me get used to clipping in as I could ride with one side clipped and one not (there are a LOT of stops and crossings on the route we went on the first time). It can be a pain if you're stopping and starting a lot as you have to fish around for the correct side, although the pedals tend to fall with the flat side down. But, the pedals are nice and big so even if you end up riding on the wrong side for 20m or so to get across the intersection it's not a big deal. I would advise anyone scared of clipless pedals to try these.

great starter pedal

great starter and every day / multi-use pedal, as I can flip to the other side when I don't want to be clipped in or when I want to ride w/o my cycling shoes. downside is they are a bit wide and I've scrapped them on tight turns.

Versatile

I've been riding M324 pedals for the last few years on my commuting/touring bike. Every once in a while my foot would slip on the non-cleat side, and the teeth would spear my shins. These pedals alleviate that problem, and they give more purchase for my non-biking shoes. More confidence and lighter weight = happy customer.

Great system

First time I have used clip less pedals and shoes. Being worried about going down if unable to release. These pedals with Shamano CT71 shoes were perfect. In and out was a breeze. Also use these pedals with tennis shoes when in large group rides in traffic. Still working on my confidence and building my skill.

More power and efficiency

I bought these for my cruiser. Since it's for around town, I wanted a clip that would give me the freedom and choice of clipping in or not. This pedal is a nice balance of both. Because I'm comfortable with clipping in and out, I've had to tighten down the clipping mechanism as the default setting is too loose (for someone trying these for the first time, it may be fine). It's a nice addition to my cruiser.

Shimano PD-T420 SPD Pedal Review

I have put on 100+ miles on these pedals since I they were installed on my Canondale Quick 5 bike. These pedals are versatile since you can use flat sole shoes on one side or biking shoes on the other side. Biking shoes with SPD cleats connect and disconnect with no effort. Recommend for anyone who wants the versatility of biking with or without cleats.

Great First Pair of Clip-ins

Bought these as my first pair of clip-in pedals and I love them. Easy to setup, easy to adjust the tension. Very easy to clip in, and twist out of quickly when I need to. I also enjoy that the underside is a standard non-clip pedal, for when I don't have/need my clip shoes. Very happy with them so far.

Got these for new mtn bike. Wanted to be able to easily get out of them on mountain trails and there are easy to release! Nice to have the reverse flat platform too in case you are wearing shoes that do not have cleats.
