Rated 5 out of 5 by from Free Your Back I got the medium tangle in order to get my camelbak off my back on long rides. (I had been using my MTB for commuting and rail-trail riding - sad I know) The great thing about the bag is that it has two compartments, one small and one large. The small one fit tire levers, a mini pump, a multi tool, and some small snacks. I even crammed in a PI barrier jacket once. Mind you, these things are a tight fit, but others seem to fit more... Now the cool part is the larger compartment. It can fit a 3l Platypus Hoser reservoir mostly full. (Around 2.75l seems to be the easiest fit) The tangle has an opening at the front for a hydration tube which I thread the Hoser tube through. I added a CamelBak Quick Link conversion kit on the host after it exits the tangle. This way I can thread it through and easily connect and disconnect when transporting the bike. To keep the tube from flopping around, I used an old retractable badge holder and a velcro loop. One thing to note, if you do not plan to use this for hydration, then you should know that it only allows small bottles in the cages. I have found that side loading cages are much easier to deal with. Basically, it blocks the cages - so you may want to look at alternatives like the RD Mountain Feedbag. I have the same thing from another brand, and it works great holding 24oz bottles. (And it does not require you to stop or to fish around for the bottle from the cage) All in all it is a great bad. As far as sizing goes, the medium size was a perfect fit for a 17" MTB frame. As a plus, it fits on my new 58cm space horse, although a large would probably fit on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great commuter bag I've commuted for about a decade. This is the perfect solution for phones, wallet, the spare pump, etc. The drysuit zippers are brilliant and I no longer fear the rain!

Is this the updated model with waterproof (not the YKK water resistant) zippers?

Asked by: Shaydu
Revelate's website says "waterproof," yet REI describes it as "water resistant." I suspect REI is trying to avoid returns based on this distinction.
