Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tracks Cadence Perfectly Finally traded in my Garmin 705 for a 500 and needed a cadence solution. The gps takes care of the speed just fine but I wanted cadence too and I wanted to be able to use the 500 on multiple bikes. I bought a cadence sensor for each bike and all is right in the world. One of my bikes is a gravel bike and it has been through some pretty rough stuff this spring. The sensor on that bike has experienced creek crossings, mud, and rocks on top of the gravel it was intended for and I have never had a concern for the sensor. There's a bit of lag between actual and current cadence but that's expected in my book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with New Garmin Devices Thought I'd counter the previous reviewer. It works fine with what it was meant to work with - the newer Garmin devices. It requires a Garmin device capable of detecting separate transmissions from speed and cadence sensors (two different sensors with two different transmissions). Why someone would think it would work with a Cateye device is beyond me. Does drop on occasion, but not having to worry about a magnet, etc. sold me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Item works with compatible devices I have a Garmin 910XT and it works perfectly. The device mentioned in the review that says it doesn't work is not listed on the Garmin site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I purchased sooner Works great with my Garmin Bike Computer. I was working my way through a knee injury and needed to keep my RPMs high to minimize the forces on my knee. Found that I was pushing too hard and too slow. All better know.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work with CatEye Stealth 50 I want to like this product but when it does not display cadence on my CatEye Stealth 50 and Garmin support cannot tell me if it should or should not work, I can only go by my experience with it. It does pair with the Stealth 50 but as mentioned no cadence/RPMs are displayed. I have a Garmin heart rate monitor that works fine with the Stealth 50 so I don't know if it is this cadence device from Garmin that is the problem of if it is the Stealth 50 not handling a cadence only device?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat tool I can't write that it does anything particularly amazing. It just reveals to me how slowly I pedal on average.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Garmin Cadence In the package were no bands. Supposed to be? Used other Garmin loop bands and seems fine. TBD

Will this work with the Fenix 3?

Asked by: Vollrath
Garmin does not list the Fenix 3 as a compatible device for the Bike Cadence Sensor. The Bike Speed and Cadence Sensor, item 876303, is compatible with the Fenix 3:

I purchased two of these so there will be a sensor on each of my bikes, but the Edge recognizes only with the original one. Is there a technique to pairing the computer with the new sensors?

Asked by: Robert
We do not have that information available. We encourage you to contact Garmin directly.

I want to use this on two bikes and don't want to swap the sensor from one bike to the other. It would be more convenient to have two separate sensors. Does the Edge care if it is communicating with a different sensor when it's on a different bike?

Asked by: Robert
Garmin Edge devices are compatible with multiple cadence sensors. Your profile will recognize the sensor after the original pairing.

I did not see anything on the description about Ant+ and wondered if this sensor is compatible with all units (non Garmin) that use Ant?

I don't see the Edge 25 listed as one of the devices this is compatible with. An oversight? Also, do people tend to get one sensor and transfer it from bike to bike, or get one for each bike?

Asked by: BicycleBob
The Bike Cadence Sensor is compatible with the Garmin Edge 25. The sensor can be moved to different bikes. Additional bands can be ordered directly from Garmin if needed.

Will this work with my vivoactive HR for my indoor cycling class? I am looking to get stats such as distance and cadence.
