- Originally developed in 1968 in collaboration with members of a Greenland expedition, the jacket was made out of tent material and proved to be extremely durable for climbers
- Fjallraven's G-1000 polyester/cotton fabric is infused with Greenland wax (beeswax and paraffin) for wind and water resistance; fabric also resists mosquitoes
- You can apply more wax if you want the jacket to be more water resistant
- G-1000 reinforcements on the shoulders and yoke
- 2-way zipper; snaps down the front, on the 4 external flap pockets, and at the sleeve cuffs
