Rated 5 out of 5 by from I REALLY like this pack! I've had quite a few day packs. REI, Osprey, L.L. Bean, Kelty to name a few brands. The Camelbak Fourteener is quite possibly the best 3 season daypack you can get right now. It was issued to me by my job and I am thrilled with it! Easy access to the resevoir. A main compartment just big enough to carry what you need for the day. A generous pouch perfect to shove your morning shell or rain gear in. And a smaller compartment on the outside perfect for a map, compass, headlamp and smaller things. It rides my 6'3 frame pretty well, though it might be a tad small. It's very comfortable though compared to the other day packs I've had! Gripes/Wishlist - - I wish it had a sternum strap whistle. - Trekking poles attached to it awkwardly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good overall pack This bag fits what you need for a long day hike and if packed right you could fit a little more. The hydration pack is very nice and I thought I wouldn't need 100oz but I sometimes underestimate things. The only small issue I have had with this is the it does get my back kinda sweaty. even though it is better ventilated than most of the bags i've owned i still get hot and sweaty. But thats why i pack two shirts, problem solved. I'm 6'4" with a tall torso and it fits pretty well once you adjust it. I have no issues with wearing this all day, it rides great on my back and distributes the weight evenly. great product and no major issues yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect I bought this just a little bit ago and have only used it on one camping trip. That said I put in a 10 mile hike with it and it was great. More than enough water capacity and quite comfortable. I just need to fine tune the straps a bit more and I would even notice it was there. The only cons are: With a full bladder, the main compartment becomes much smaller and its very hard to pack. Also the water bottle holders on the side are almost impossible to use while you have the pack on. You almost have to take it off to get anything in/out of them. Other than that, its an awesome pack for some good long day trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can fit a ton of gear in this little bag I bought this a month or so ago to use for rock climbing. I can fit my rope, shoes, harness, and the rest of my tools/carabineers/etc. with some room to spare. I was a little worried that the water pouch wouldn't fit, but I was able to fill it to the brim and slip it into the sleeve with no problems. Was very surprised with how much I was able to store in the bag. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good bag for day hiking, rock climbing, or an overnight hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed I use this pack for mountain biking, hiking, and photography. It works for all of the above, has a good suspension system, is designed with just the right capacity, has a place to tie my tripod to the pack, has just the right qty and design of small pockets for keys, glasses, phone, etc. I've used many styles of pack over many years, and this is the best so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ive taken it everywhere It has plenty of space to hold your gear for a day hike. I have taken it to Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Moab, Colorado, Indiana Sand Dunes, well pretty much everywhere I go. I even use it as my 2nd carry on for flights to carry gear. Organization is great. It is very comfortable and breathable on the back due to the pods. The only problem I had was the hip belt pocket got a hole after two trips. That may have been my fault though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good daypack. Previously owned a Camelbak Rim Runner, which I was very happy with. I had that pack for 8+ years with zero complaints. When stolen, I decided to replace it with a pack with a little more room and more support. A 100 oz bladder is a must for me. I like the hipbelt zip pocket for my camera, though it is very small and not sure it would fit a smartphone - it didn't even fit the camera when in it's case. I've only used this pack once but was very comfortable - I'm a 5'9" woman with broadish shoulders yet a slender torso. I like the thicker waistbelt and hiking pole loops, neither of which the other pack I was considering, the Osprey Manta 28, had. The Osprey is supposedly a bit larger but when I did a stuff test it didn't seem any different. In the end, between the two, it really just came down to trying them both on with some weight in them to see which felt the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Pack I do a lot of different things from backpacking and hiking to biking. This pack will cover it all. Lightweight but tough to cover whatever you need to carry. Definitely recommend it!!!

Bought this for commuting and MTB rides. My old HAWG NV did yoeman duty but is a bit old in the tooth now. However, it did have a built in rain cover, which the Fourteener does not. How water resistant/proof is this bag.

Asked by: Mad Dog Ducati
The fabric on the Fourteener 24 Hydration Pack will provide some water resistance. A rain cover is recommended for heavy rain:

how many 100oz resorviors can i fit in this bag??

Asked by: davidta27
The reservoir sleeve in the Fourteener 24 is designed to hold a 100 oz. reservoir (included). It will hold several more reservoirs in the gear portion of the pack, if you aren’t planning to stuff it with clothing, food and other gear. However, the recommended upper load of this pack is 25 lbs. To stay within this range, you wouldn’t want to carry more than a total of four 100 oz. reservoirs.

My wife and I would prefer to share a pack  Her back measurement is 17" and mine is 20".  Will this pack work for the two of us?  If not I am comparing this pack to the Osprey Mira 26 specifically for my wife.  Can you let me know the main differences?

Asked by: Wilbur13
The Fourteener is considered a unisex pack and is basically one-size-fits-all. Both 17” and 20” torsos fall within an average torso length range, so both of you should be fine carrying this pack, as long as you don’t overload it. The major difference between unisex packs and women’s packs is in the shape of the shoulder straps and hip belts. The suspension system on a women specific pack has curves that take into account a woman’s anatomy, which can make it more comfortable.

Is there a magnetic clip, to clip to bite valve to the sternum strap on the pack? Or could one possibly be added? Thank you

Asked by: Cesar1239
The reservoir tube attaches to the sternum strap using a plastic clip. The reservoir tube does not have a magnet on it, but you can purchase the CamelBak Magnetic Tube Trap to add to your reservoir tube. You can find it online here:
