Normally, I find it difficult to fall asleep quickly. In addition, in the morning it is slow for me to get moving due to restless sleep and a stiff back due to recurring back pain from a bulging disk between the L3 and L4 vertebra. I also roll around in my sleep. I am happy to report that the pillow continued to cradle and centered my head all night long. The pillow did reduce the stress on my neck and pressure on my ear when I slept on my side. The combination of holes and inflatable tubes was first like sleeping on a lumpy mattress. I quickly transitioned from thinking of it like a lumpy bed to a series of fingers massaging the day's activities out of my back. The Inertia O Zone sleeping pad is a successful purchase. Every time I use this sleeping pad, I awake with a refreshed rejuvenated back. My tent partner also has remarked that I snore less. And I am looking forward to the next adventure with this new sleeping companion.
I've used this for the last few months and it is by far the favorite pad I've owned. I'm a minimalist, and this packs up easier and smaller than my Thermarest Pro-lite. This weighs a few onces more, but provides much better padding IMO. I also like the design. Without a bag, this gives you a little more airflow when it's warm. When it's cold, it fits nicely inside my down bag and allows the down to loft more and gives me better insulation than my other pad. I sleep much better on this because it gets me off the ground more, so I can sleep on my back quite well. I wasn't in as much pain sleeping on my side either. The pillow is a nice touch because on cold nights, I typically am wearing everything I brought, so I don't have much to stuff in a sack. And it doesn't compress as much as a few shirts in a stuff sack would. I can't recommend this enough.
i'v read good and bad reviews of this product but must say i am really impressed with this pad, i read a review of an appalacian trail thru hiker who was a side sleeper (which i am, and where most of the bad reviews come from) who had folded the pillow over the top of the sleeping pad. well i tried his suggestion and it works great for side sleeping! side sleeping is awesome, not to mention i never have the track down the wandering night pillow. i'm 65 and really love the lite weight and small size for backpacking. i use it inside my mummy bag and works great. have'nt tried in cooler tempertures , but being from minneSoCold i will have plenty of opportunities and will update my review as to how it works. thanks rei and kymit for this awesome lite weight pad.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had many sleeping pads before the Inertia Ozone, and the main reason I like it is it has this waffle design, which means I don’t sweat like with the other pads. It also means it’s compact for travel, I like it on top of uncomfortable hotel, and train (sleeper car)mattresses for my best comfort. I even use it at home cause I like being on air when I sleep and I don’t want to buy another solid mattress! Camping, I like it with another air pad or foam cushion underneath it. This pad lasts and lasts too, most air pads give out after a few months. You’ll get a few years out of this with constant use and the company stands behind their product too.

I can comfortable sleep on my side on a cold stone floor I personally add additional clothes under the pillow because of my shoulder height, then it holds my head well It is small enough to fit inside my sleeping bag Light to carry and packs in to the original stuff sack without fighting it
I do a lot of backpacking where cutting weight by ounces is a goal. At less than 13 oz the weight to performance ratio of this mattress is untouchable. I'm also over 50 with 27 surgical scars from a life of adventure without safety rails. This mattress has been AMAZING. It inflates and deflates very quickly and gives great support, even for side sleepers. The incorporated pillow is a huge win for comfort. Highly recommended for any outdoor sleeping need. Camping, backpacking, hunting, etc. If you want a better night of sleep, put this in your sleeping bag, inflate and enjoy the comfort. I just purchased a second one for my son for an upcoming 12 day backpacking through trip.

I bought this pad because it was so light. I was very surprised to find that it's extremely comfortable too. I slept on it for 3 nights where the temps were in the high 30s and low 40s. This design allows your sleeping bag to retain it's loft on the bottom, and it works! Super light, great value, nice pad!
The Pro's: Indeed it is light, packs small and has some great features like the attached pillow. It is extremely durable! I have used mine for the past couple of years and have had no puncture issues. Also, you can't beat the price for something of this quality. The Con: It is very fiddly to pack it up again. I can never seem to squeeze all of the air out of it. Some air gets trapped in all of the baffles and it is frustrating. Sometimes it takes me 20 to 30 minutes to roll it all up neatly. Sometimes I've been resorting to packing it up with some air and just stuffing it somewhere in my pack without the stuff sack. I wouldn't recommend if you are participating in a self-supported bikepacking race.
