[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this double inflatable pad! We set it up for my daughter to lay on for our movie night. It is extremely comfortable for being just a pad. It took maybe 30 seconds to inflate it with an electric pump. I also like that it has an “inflate” valve and “deflate” valve. It’s super lightweight which will be great when we go camping in a couple months. Air mattresses get so heavy and take up more room. It also holds air well and you don’t up on the floor with a flat pad. It holds heat pretty well too. You can fit 2 people, but we prefer this for one person as we like the extra space. It’s easy to pack back up in the carrying bag. I like the have a vent on the bottom of the carrying bag too. You can easily clip it on a bag or backpack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sleeping pad by Klymit is perfectly perfect! It came folded in a case that is only 3 lbs! It was almost too easy to inflate (with my hair dryer. I will be purchasing an automatic portable I inflater) it does not leak air once inflated, so no covering holes. There's a separate deflating hole on the other corner. This is absolutely perfect for outdoor use, camping, or even sleepovers. The double comfortably fits me and my 6'3" husband or even my 2 small children with extra room for them. It is by far the smartest "air mattress" without taking up any extra room. It sits 3 inches above the ground fully inflated and made of wipea le fabric to keep it clean and dry.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great product! You can really feel the support when you lie on it. I'm a bigger girl so I do hang off the sides a little bit but if you're a side sleeper it'll work perfectly and let's face it, sometimes something is better than nothing underneath your sleeping bag. The product feels very durable. Definitely a valuable addition to any camping trip. Wasn't too hard to roll it back up and put it in the bag once you get all the air out of it. Love the spinning inflation port. Makes deflation so much easier. Won't be camping till probably mid-summer/fall but definitely will be adding this to my pack!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best thing ever! It’s light, it’s easy to travel with, and it folds up SO small! I love how fast I can blow this up, too. It took me genuinely 30 seconds to blow this up and it was so easy. The warmth is insane too! It does not get cold at all under me. I love using it just even in the house to lay on or rest my feel because it’s so comfortable and keeps my feet from getting cold on the floor. Such a fantastic product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: it is very lightweight and keeps you off the ground, inflates easily, size is perfect for wherever you need it to go, very portable for trips, and it feels better than sleeping on the ground. Cons: it doesn’t stay inflated very well, poor valve design, deflation takes too long, loses air after a while. Overall, it’s a neat product but I don’t think it’s worth the price until some of these issues are resolved.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so obsessed with my new double sleeping pad! I was super excited that it came in a size double to accommodate two people. We will primarily be using this for car camping so I’m not worried about it being heavy to backpack with- although I don’t think its weight would be an issue. It is incredibly comfortable to sleep on all sides. I don’t foresee any leaking issues as I have used this brand in the past. The material is strong. It’s super easy to maintain and store. The seams are sturdy. I love that it has a good R value to keep our bodies further from the cold ground. Overall- I would recommend to friends and family. This sleeping pad is going to get a lot of use this summer!
I have this current model with the current flip valve design. It was great the first time I used it last summer. I went to use it a couple weeks ago for the second time ever and it leaked on me. I had to reinflate ever 2 hours or so, 4 times throughout the night. I just tested it to find the leak and its leaking from the valve cap. This is my second klymit pad, after the first one was warrantied for the old style screw cap. That one served me well for maybe less than 10 uses before the valve stopped holding air. Just horrible longevity. Shame because the pad is remarkably comfortable when it works. But I won't trust klymit any longer
I used it in my winter field exercise, temperature was around -20. Isolation was impressive. I have put it between my sleeping bag and bivy bag the second and third night and i could see the difference. It prevents the transfer of snow coldness from the bivy to your the sleeping bag. Easy and quick to inflate and deflate. Packable size is very good almost didn't take anyplace in my rucksack. 2 points to improves: 1. Design on the lower side small rubber points to prevent it from sliding on Gore tex surfaces ( like sleeping bags) 2. Design a water resistant pack with straps to be able to attach it on the outer side of rucksacks
Wife and I used to share an air mattress when camping, until we found the original Static V and upgraded to these for added warmth. They're relatively lightweight (24oz) and portable, while still providing a comfortable night sleep and providing insulation from the ground (R value of 4.4). Our whole family has their own individual pad to make packing and sleeping simpler on family trips. I have also used it while backpacking Buffalo River Trail to stay warm when the temps dropped below freezing. Gave it a knock for width and wanting to slide around as I'm a side sleeper that can toss and turn a bit. Overall though I still recommend these to family and friends.
I've used this pad for everything from simple overnight camping trips to Climbing Mt Rainier in winter conditions. I have the older version and I appreciate they've upgraded the valve so it is flush. I wouldn't peg this pad as durable but I haven't managed to pop it either. I'm happy with the weight and packed size. Only issue is that you can get cold spots if your hips press through. My friend has a Big Agnes pad that's is similar weight/volume/r-value but the cells are thicker and I believe this better prevents cold spots. Final verdict: I think this pad performs quite well given its weight to price to performance and I'll continue to use mine when appropriate.
