Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, high quality harness Switched to this Mammut harness after using a rental Black Diamond for a few months. I have only used this for indoor top roping and it's been very comfortable and has a slimmer profile in the gear loops than the Black Diamond which keeps my gear from flopping around too much as I ascend. The buckles all are sturdy and stiff - I've never had an issue with them coming loose or undone while belaying or climbing. I would recommend trying the harness on or double checking their sizing chart before purchasing - I wore a size higher in this harness than Black Diamond and didn't realize it until I tried it on in the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality harness I've had this harness for about two-years, and it's held up well. The stitching is well-done, and I have seen no evidence of fraying, which is especially impressive in the belay loop. I love the way the harness fits. It is low profile, which is nice. For example, the gear loops are much flatter than the Black Diamond harnesses, so they do not get in the way when I climb. My only complaint is that the drop seat buckle has come undone a couple of times while climbing, but I have not been seriously inconvenienced by this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For A New Climber: Fits the Bill! I just started indoor gym climbing about two months ago. This harness was a good fit, had all metal fixtures, neat 'wear indicator' feature and a great price. I'm only giving it four stars because, since I just started climbing, I don't have a super expert idea about what I would compare this harness too. It is easy to adjust and has lots of tabs to keep loose straps in place. the square gear loops keep items close to your body and every part is comfortable enough to hang in when you slip off the wall or just want to rest on the rope. A lot women at the rock gym I go to have this harness. Doesn't hold odor or moisture when I sweat in it. Great gear for the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine harness, would recommend. I bought this a few months ago and have found very few things to complain about. I use it for indoor climbing and have not taken it outside yet. Here are the pros: 1. Not bulky, but doesn't compromise comfort. 2. Love the reinforced loops. 3. Easy to adjust. 4. Very pretty, and not everyone has this one. Now for the one con: 1. This is slightly large for me. It's still safe (i.e.; it won't slip over my hips at its smallest setting) but I think I'd like it to be a little more snug especially around the thighs - this is the only place I can say it has been uncomfortable, when being let down off a wall. I'm 5'6" and 115-119 lbs depending on the week, so if you have a similar profile I think I'd go for the XS, especially if you have a larger waist and smaller hips - I have a smaller waist and larger hips relatively and that's the only reason this harness is safe for me. All in all, I'm going to keep the harness and I like it. Very positive feelings toward it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable I had a Black Diamond harness before this. It was a nice harness. But, no where near as comfortable and durable as this one. I am very happy with purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort Plus I have owned this harness for about a month and have gym climbed and outdoor climbed with it. It is extremely comfortable on me and has a great fit. I am petite so I have an XS. It holds gear well and the gear does not get in the way when climbing. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Harness I have only rented harnesses before purchasing this one and I am very happy with it! Of the harnesses I wore/tried on this one felt the least bulky, especially at the leg loops. I am also pretty tall and this harness is long enough from me. There were a few that I felt rode too low on my waist and high on my legs. Quality, style and color are all great! I can move, climb and hang (and fall) comfortably. I love it and would highly recommend it!

can the leg loops be put on without having to step into or out of them?

Asked by: MountainHeels
The leg loops can be unbuckled completely and then buckled around the legs. However, this won't be easy, because it will be difficult to work the end of the webbing through the leg buckle.

I was wondering if the waist part of the harness is adjustable like the legs? Like is it able to adjust tighter or looser depending on how you want it?

Asked by: Ashley Ray
Yes, the waist is adjustable. You can see the adjustable range for each size in the Specs section.
