I really want to love this harness and give it top marks, and I do love everything except one huge thing that ruins it: the leg loops are way too big and have way too little adjustability. Note the Mammut: climbers have skinny legs! At the very least, you need a system that allows the leg loops to be adjustable with a good range. This harness allows just 6cm of adjustment. 6cm! Little more than 2 inches. That is really not good enough for a very expensive harness that is great in every other way.
Used for indoor climbing so far. Comfortable when taking falls and when anchoring to the ground when belaying heavier climbers. The gear loops are a good size and there are 4 gear loops on the XS! (I wasn't sure as some harnesses don't have all the gear loops on the XS due to space). The harness is true to size. My waist is 26" and legs 21." One note for improvement would be softer webbing on the leg loops or extending the padding slightly as it has pilled my mammut zinal hybrid leggings.
This is a bit expensive but it is very light and soft compared to other harnesses. The leg straps have a lot of room for it's size but if you fit a large for instance for your legs and have room on the waistband this is likely to do the same, your legs and waist have to be the same pant size for this to fit well (of course). This definitely works for indoor climbing and while I have yet to go out with it, the hard, reinforced gear loops don't get in the way and aren't uncomfortable at all.
Two things I like best about this harness: 1. Extreme durability: I've had the harness since May and have used it for rock climbing, snow climbing, alpine climbing, and via ferrata. It's been used in 3 countries so far. Despite all of the work I've given this harness so far, it still looks brand new. No snags or obvious marks on the exterior. No wear. No issues at seams. Considering all I've done with this harness, I'm pleasantly surprised with how well it's holding up. 2. Comfort: this harness fits me really well. I'm small but the adjustable leg straps are great with some additional musculature on my thigh. The wider leg straps also make belaying and climbing sport climbs very comfortable and secure. The waist strap is wide enough around my back to provide good support and the padding is just right. Overall, this is an excellent harness especially if you stay busy and plan to use it all the time.
It's very uncomfortable. The anchor points on the thighs and waist are just off and make getting lowered or taking falls extremely uncomfortable and at some angles painful.
