Great harness! I bought this for my 13 yr old son (he is bigger than me). I liked the size range on this harness compared to other brands. My son loves the mismatch color.
Harness shopping was such a challenge, but when I finally tried this one on, it was meant to be. So far, I’ve experienced nothing less than comfort and security given its large range of adjustability.
I use this both for gym and outdoor climbing. It's very comfy, so I can sit in it while projecting tough sport climbs. It's also super durable and can take its fair share of abuse. The belay loop has a built in wear indicator which makes deciding on whether to retire it super easy! If you're looking for a harness for the first time and are having trouble deciding, this harness would be a good place to start. It's super affordable, will last a long time, and fits many different body shapes! The only downside is that it's not super compact! It's heavier than most harnesses and will take up a lot of space in your gear bag.
I bought this harness because it was supposed to be easy for beginners to use and I wanted to have a harness that was easy for people that I took climbing and rappelling to put on and take off. I loved the Idea of having the two colors so I would know if they had it on correctly. That part works great, however people that aren't into climbing have an incredibly difficult time getting the thing to tighten properly and loosen the straps after it has reared weight. The harness may need more time to break in, however it has been really annoying trying to help people get their harness off every time someone wears the thing.
I bought this a month ago and it was my first harness. I was wearing my gyms uncomfortable ones but I had enough of those so I went ahead and bought this one. I think the sizing is pretty true to size. I got the xs-m and I like it because I know it will still fit me if I gain or loose some weight. The only thing people should know is that since the padding is so good it is not very breathable so I get sweat marks around the leg loops when I wear light colored pants lol. But overall I love it and the color is great and it is such good quality.
As someone who is getting more and more into climbing, I typically want to look for a lighter yet equally effective harness as my previous BD Solution harnesses with generous gear loops, but the light-weighted nature of the Mammut Sender harness. This 4-Slide Harness is a little too much for me, mainly because I'm lazy and would prefer the single buckle adjustment as opposed to adjusting all 4. While it is definitely amazing for adjustment and even to share between friends of similar waist size, I would want something a bit lighter and less finnicky in terms of time taken to put on.
I’m a newer climber, any experience has been solely with bouldering. I needed to break out of my comfort zone and start to do some top rope in the hopes of working on my fear of heights. Renting a harness was fine but I really wanted something of my own that I would feel comfortable in. This Mammut harness is substantial, feels strong, has very secure straps, is very comfortable, and looks good to boot. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great first harness for indoor climbing. FYI - It is adjustable but fits snug. It’s part of the appeal for me but your mileage may vary.
Comfortable fit. I choose this because I'm a thicker lady and there were not a lot of options with sizes large enough. This fits me great and comes in a variety of colors. I use it at our local climbing gym for climbing and top roping.
This piece of equipment is exactly what I needed getting into climbing. It's comfortable, and sits on your hips well with the padding provided. It has four gear loops which is bussin, and of course it is a four slide which makes it really easy to slip into. The biggest draw back about this harness is that it doesn't have a breathable mesh on the hips to reduce perspiration, so after a few hours of climbing in the heat if you're a sweaty person such as I you can start getting a little rash. Feels quite comfortable taking whippers as well. ü™®ü§òü躂ù§Ô∏è
Fits as described. Super comfortable. I really liked the padding on the thighs
