Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tent for backpacking with my kids! My search for a family backpacking tent ended last year when we bought the Papa Hubba NX. My small children carry their own water and sleeping bag. Mom and I carry the rest. The Papa Hubba takes up the same amount of space in my pack as my first 2-man tent. MSR continues their legacy of quality and craftsmanship. I love everything from the stitching of the stake-out loops to the design of the dual vestibules. It has great headroom, but is not so tall that strong wind will blow it away. We are yet to test the Papa in a good storm, but I am confident it will perform well and last for many years. I have used the 1-man Hubba for many years and it shows hardly any wear. Keep up the good work, MSR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent! it is a great tent, but if you are carrying luggage for a two week trip it is just a three-person tent... especially if you are hiking in an area where many racoons and foxes live, that are known to eat your luggage if you keep it not in the inner tent ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Initial Observation 1st trip with this tent canoeing in Northern Ontario in October for 5 days. The tent held up great to sustained strong winds (keep you awake, waiting for the tent to blow apart winds), our 4 season Hilleberg Kaitum set up broadside to the wind was much noisier. I worried more about the Papa but I didn't need to. My only concern with the tent is the nylon top of the tent body sticking to the fly creating a moisture friendly environment. On windless nights it was tricky to avoid moisture build up. Thinking of sticking something between the fly and tent to allow for more air flow. Maybe need to use all the guyout points?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bit of kit! Been using this tent for the last year and it continues to impress. So many clever little design features add up to make this by far the best tent I have used. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of room !! I bought this last year for family camping and this tent is really cool ! Lots of room, lightweight and really easy to set up. I even prefer this tent to my 2 person tent when hiking with a friend of my dog.

We like to star gaze on summer nights from the tent. Is the white roof area transparent enough to see the night sky or is there a view of the sky from within the tent? Thanks!

Asked by: melindayeaman
Unfortunately, you will not be able to view much of the night sky through the roof or rainfly of the Papa Hubba NX Tent.
