Dang!

We start backpacking / car camping early in the season when spring storms are still dumping snow or heavy rain as well as push late in the season long after the leaves have dropped in the Rockies. Because of this, the HD should provide all the weather protection we need while remaining lightweight and comfortable in the peak of summer. If nothing else, the new HD wins the best looking tent award. Hands down.

Heavy rain.

This tent came in after returning my LT 3 with factory flaws. The floor in the HD3 is a lot more heavy duty. I had 2 inches of rain. Everything stayed dry inside. However, when you go to undo the fly zipper And go to the interior the rain will fall off the fly and go inside of the tent. Other than that time will tell.
