I purchased this for my Advanced Elements Kayak (not that it would be used for anything else) and it adds so much more. Has two big strong zippers that zip from the back all the way around the sides to the front where you Velcro a strap over them. Really makes the kayak more rigid by holding the sides. There's a plastic bar sewn into the middle to keep it from sagging so if you have extra cargo it won't press into the rear paddler's legs. In my case a 45 pound dog easily sits on the top without it really touching my legs, although the saggy area behind the front cockpit will collect water when the dog climbs up from the water but what are you gonna do! Only thing that isn't perfect is the tubes you inflate around you to attach a spray skirt to. I'll have to really investigate mine when I get some spray skirts but the tubes never seem to stay inflated so it seems like the elastic on the spray skirt could just pop off after awhile. But other than that it really adds a lot of deck space and rigidity to the kayak.

If you are paddling with a buddy, this accessory is a must. After just one trip (having used our kayak multiple times without) with the deck, it is definitely worth the price of admission. Easy and quick to install, it made paddling neater, the wind less of a factor and looks cool too!
Excellent for staying dry, a bit more rigidity
Great coverage, good protection, a little extra storage, a little more rigidity in the boat. What's not to like? Well constructed, fits my older convertible with no mods. A+
