Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Paddle! Lightweight, strong, and because of the adjustment/locking mechanism, it's easy to take apart and put together. I have had some less expensive paddles with metal shafts that got stuck together, not with this design. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes paddling easier Very good paddle! What I notice the most is the reduction of inertia. It is easier to initiate movement with the carbon-fiber shaft than even an aluminum shaft. This results in less fatigue on long excursions, and no sore muscles later. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big fan of smaller grip and carbon One really nice benefit is that it seems to not be as cold as other paddles that are made of aluminum. Similar to how ice tools are made of carbon feel warmer. The carbon has proven durable and resilient. Definitely buy again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Aqua-Bound Manta Ray posi-loc kayak paddle. The paddle has been offshore four times since Christmas and i am more than happy with it. Does not appear to have any flex or flutter and it's weight or lack of it is a bonus. I'm using on a fiberglass fishing kayak doing entries and returns through the surf. The only think that niggles me is the oval shape on the left of the shaft to locate your hand is not pronounced enough to get an perfect placement every time in surf conditions.

I have a dagger zydeco and looking for paddle recommendations. I am 5 ft 1" and pretty evenly proportioned. What size do you recommend?

Based on your height and the width of your Zydeco, we recommend a 220cm paddle. The link below provides you with additional information on how to choose the right paddle. https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/kayak-paddle.html

I have a 12 foot Oldtown pack angler with the lower seat. Would the Manta Ray Pl Kayak paddle be an appropriate Kayak paddle for that canoe? Could you suggest a size, I use a 50 canoe paddle. Thanks. Robert

Asked by: RQuinn
Because you are thinking of using a kayak paddle for a canoe, we would have to recommend the Aqua-Bound Sting Ray Full Carbon Paddle (REI item #851477). The only difference is the paddling angle. The Sting Ray is for more of a low angle paddler which will help since you are in a canoe. Based on the width of the canoe we would recommend a 240cm paddle.

I am looking at Aqua-Bound Manta Ray Posilok paddle for my husband.  He has an Old Town 10' Vapor Angler & uses it lakes & rivers but occasionally in the bay.  He is 5'11".  Would this be an appropriate paddle?  Is this a 2014 model?  Is it Carbon abx?
