Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect pants, just right indeed I was looking for a pair of pants to take on a several day backpacking trip to the Hoh rainforest. I am 5'7, around 200 lbs, with skinny legs and a big rear and tummy, so it can be hard to find pants that have enough give, but still don't fall right off. These pants have an amazing stretch, but the seaming in the seat of the pants is perfect so they don't just shimmy right off. I like the buttom and tie closure, the tie has stretch as well. If you are looking for pockets, look elsewhere, there is a single pocket on the leg. Overall, the pants are amazing for a plus size lady who likes to hike around in comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Comfy and Flattering Oh, yes, from the moment I first tried on these pants I knew they would be my instant favorites. I got a second pair! I really like how flattering they are, they drape just perfectly and come to a nice taper at the leg. The material is thin and stretchy--maybe not very warm for the cold of winter but perfect for most any other time. The stretchy material is great for outdoor activities like rock climbing and hiking. Yet they are dressy enough for everyday use and traveling too! There is a lack of pockets, just the one on the leg, but that is a feature that is a contributor to the slimming nature of these pants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waist stretches too much The main reason I returned these pants is that the useless elastic drawstring in the waistband, which one is supposed to use to tighten the waistband, is made from the same elastic fabric as the pants and, therefore, easily stretches to double its length when tied into a bow. This makes it impossible to pull the waistband in to snugly fit one's waist. Without using this cord, the waistband itself stretches enough to allow the pants slip down a bit and feel uncomfortable. The single small thigh pocket is too small to hold anything more than flat bills or a key without unsightly bulging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hiking wear for the active female I was in desperate need of pants that could be worn while hiking or scaling mountains/canyons. Shorts were out of the question due to heavy brush and cacti. I tried these pants on and they felt amazing. They were stretchy and loose and gave me the ability to move my legs without them ripping or tearing. I wore them the following weekend on a huge hike and rock scaling adventure in flagstaff and Sedona. They protected my legs form every element possible and I was able to clean them off in a breeze. The only downfall is that the only pocket built in them could not Cary my phone, just my Chapstick and ID cards. I would recommend these pants to any high active woman, as well as, the average or beginner hiker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small at the bottom of legs but comfy I'm using these pants in Iraq due to the hot weather. I had to take them to the tailor and have the bottoms cut because they seem to be so much smaller at the bottom and I like my pants to fit over the tops of my hiking boots. Once I had the tailor put a slit in them they were really long- but then I noticed in the tag that it says the length is 36. I also have to wear thongs or else my panty lines are visible to everyone. (cotton briefs tend to be best in 120F+ temps) The single pocket is very frustrating, but if you're just taking a day hike and need a key/credit card and ID you'll be fine- otherwise you'll need to carry a bag of some sort. They fit is good and they are comfortable. I'm 5'6" and 130 and ordered a size 4. I'm athletically built.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for mild weather hikes Got these for my girlfriend to wear hiking in Cinque Terre, Italy. She thought they were comfortable, light weight, and good for the mild weather we had on the trip. They kept her dry in light rain, but soaked through in certain spots when the rain got heavier. Her biggest complaint was that they only had one pocket. Otherwise a solid buy for mild weather in the spring or fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and awesome! I work with chocolate, and when I got these, I was looking for something that would be comfortable, and not look too bad once it got hit with chocolate a few times. While I'm not the messiest person in my department, chocolate has gotten on these, and it washed right out! I checked off that the pants feel too long, but being 5'1" that's usually true for me :) The only way these could get any better would be by adding a cargo pocket on the right side, as the current design has only one small zippered pocket on the left thigh that just fits my cell phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buying my third pair I LOVE these pants! I'm 5'5", 150 lbs. and size 10 is perfect. I've gotten many compliments on them...the front seam makes them look a bit more stylish than other pants in this category. I bought them for travel and hand washing them works great. Good for walking around, hiking, and restaurants. Best thing about them though is how comfortable they are. And not too hot or cool. I personally don't like lots of pockets in pants...I think they look too casual. The side pocket on these is just right for holding glasses, spare $, a key, eyc.
