Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ouch! Disappointed. I love my Keen hiking shoes; They are super comfortable and never need any breaking in time. When looking for a casual shoe for the summer, I thought these would do the trick. I wanted a shoe I could walk around town in and use for short hikes on level pathways, beach walking. When I put these on and went for a walk I was in pain. I could feel every rock and pebble, there's no arch support, and the sides of the insole rubbed my feet raw. I took out the insoles and replaced them with Superfeet insoles, which made an improvement. Don't expect these shoes to stand up to active use, they look pretty and that's about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A surprise add on to my REI shopping trip I initially went to REI to buy Keen hiking boots and I saw these cute shoes. Just for fun I tried them on OMG they are so comfortable! I love ballet flat type shoes. It's difficult for me to find comfortable flats due to my wide and flat feet. I walked and walked in the store and my feet felt very comfortable. They are wide. That's why I love Keen for the wide toe box. I bought the brindle and wanted the black but they didn't have my size. The black is more charcoal gray. These shoes will be great for traveling since they slip off easily (TSA check points). I plan on taking these shoes on my South African Safari trip. I just bought the black on line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beware: New Black is NOT solid Black First off, I LOVE these shoes! I have the older (first) grey color and an older turquoise pair and I just love them both. They are super comfortable, very durable, easy to clean (I throw them in the washing machine, then air dry), and I'm able to wear them for a full work shift without them killing my feet. I was so excited to see the newest colors, especially the *New Black*, since it would go with more of my wardrobe. They arrived yesterday, and they are certainly NOT black. Much more of a dark grey, but not quite as heathered as their first version (but darker than the second grey option). I may return them, haven't decided yet. Just be aware that the photos are not accurate for the color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfy! I have had my eye on these for a while and finally bought two pairs when they went on sale. I am a preschool teacher, on my feet all day. I love wearing cute flats to work, but so many of them hurt my feet by the end of the day! These have exceeded my expectations! Super comfortable from the first wear. They are functional for work but cute enough to wear every day! I have worn them with pants, shorts, dresses--they are very versatile! I got the tan and black, but now I am considering getting another color! I am in between an 8 1/2 and 9 and the 9 fits perfectly! Should be able to work with thin socks when the weather gets cooler, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE these...with reservations I had two pairs of the "old" Keen Sienna Mary Janes in leather, and wore those puppies to DEATH (the upper literally separated from the sole). I waited impatiently for Keen to bring these shoes back and was so excited to see them back on the market, I bought 2 new pairs, not even on sale (which I NEVER do). I ordered a pair in the blue color, which is no longer offered, and a black pair. Both size 9. The blue ones fit like my old ones, perfectly comfortable, no break in needed, no rubbing, just lovely. The black pair seems to be about 1/2" shorter, despite being the same marked size. Take home message: try these on in the store if you can, and if one pair doesn't fit well, ask for a different. I'm not sure how widespread this quality control issue is, but it is annoying!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What happened to the old footbed? I considered returning these but will keep them for casual outings. My job requires me to walk A LOT. My go to shoes are older Keen Mary Janes, the ones with the little flower design. When I compare these to the Sienna, I feel cheated. I can't use these for work, they simply don't have enough support. I know that "naked" is the new style for footbeds, but some of us are older and our jobs require more support. I used to recommend Keens to my co workers, but now I will only with the caveat that they "ain't what they used to be."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort first I needed a comfortable pair of shoes for casual days. I already own Keen hiking boots and cycling shoes, and love how they fit. I love cute shoes, but I won't wear them if they aren't comfortable. These were a little tight, at first, around the bottom of the opening closest to the toe, but after wearing for a few weeks, they have broken in well. I wouldn't expect to be able to walk a long way in these the first or second day you wear them. I love wearing them around, whether it's running errands, going for a stroll to the park or biking to a neighborhood brewery to up meet friends.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made and not durable I love the shoes, but am incredibly disappointed with the durability of the product. I use these for casual walking inside an office for about 50% of my time (ie, not in use for two weeks at a time). Within 2 months of wearing them (4 weeks, considering the 50% thing) the canvas material started to part from the rubber toe tip. It almost seems like they tried to use as little material as possible and therefore when the material moves as a result of walking it slowly rips away from the rubber tip (and it isn't a sizing issue, the shoes fit fine). I have stuck it out and continued to wear them, but the material continues to separate and their days are limited. In fact, people have already commented that I need to get new shoes. I have a pretty sizeable hole on one foot and the other foot also has several material frays. Incredibly disappointed. I've owned many pairs of Keens and these are just a complete swing and a miss for the company. Despite the fact that they are very comfortable, I'm not happy about needing to replace them after only essentially 6 months of use... especially for what I paid for them when originally purchased.

Yes, the Sienna MJ shoes can be washed. The Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel would be a fine choice.

The bottoms of these shoes are made primarily of rubber and are waterproof. The upper material is canvas which is not waterproof.
