Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good footprint for the TNF VE 25 A very nice footprint for the 2016 VE 25. It is very lightweight. It provides excellent ground protection for the tent as well as great condensation reducing qualities. The only minor complaint is that I wish the footprint extended into the vestibule or at least had some sort of adjoining piece (attached or seperate.) Overall though, it serves its main purpose well, much better than just a tarp.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I paid how much for this?! Just received the VE-25 footprint so I can't speak to it's fitness for it's purpose (prolonging the life of the floor of a VE-25 tent). When I pulled it out of the box it came in, I held a small, lightweight clear plastic bag stapled to the thin cardboard marketing fold, the footprint inside it's own stuff bag. My first thought was, I paid how much for this?!? I seriously think a sheet of plastic like the kind you use to protect furniture from paint would serve the same purpose for $5...except one small detail...this footprint with each of the 6 corners has a strap and grommet that will allow me to setup the VE-25 in fly+footprint only mode...when would I ever do that? I have no idea.. Since I believe everyone who invests in a VE-25 tent wants it to last, and because TNF offers a tent lifetime (what does that mean again?) warranty, I recommend that TNF slash the price to $30 to reflect it's real value, encourage tent owners to protect the tent so fewer warranty repairs will occur.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product to match the excellent VE25 tent! We had a VE 25 tent and footprint for 25 years and have always been very happy with this combo. We recently had to replace our tent due to its long life usage and knew that we will be very pleased for the next 25 years with the tent and footprint!

My tent is a VE 24. Will the footprint for the  VE 25 work just as well with the 24?

Asked by: pdougherty
The VE-25 Footprint is not compatible with a VE-24 tent.

Just received the VE-25 Footprint. One side is pure black nylon while the other side is more shiny with what appears to be seam tape. Which side should face the ground? If I used the footprint + fly only would it change which side was down?

Asked by: BoulderOrBust
The shiny side should always be up.
