Disappointed-loved the original
I have worn the Teva Mush for years and order a new pair or two every spring. I was so disappointed when I received the Mush II! The new version is very stiff and narrow. I have 'average' width feet and the edge of my toes hang off the sides. Fortunately the original Mush is available elsewhere on line, but would have preferred to purchase through REI.
New version of Teva Mush...TERRIBLE!!!
I have been a Teva mush fan and wearer for a long time. The new version is a cheap and poorly made counterpart. They are long and narrow and oddly cut. I don't have super wide feet either but little toe hangs off the side while two inches of footbed extend beyond the end of my toes. It just looks insane! My old Teva mush were always a perfect fit. The new version aren't even close. I'm so disappointed in the lack of quality and comfort I have come to expect from Teva mush sandals. I won't waste money on another pair.
Didn't last long
I wear flip flop sandals as long as the temperatures in the northwest allow--even in the rain. I ordered these because I have heard that Tevas are great outdoor shoes. At first, I liked them, for the most part. The straps are comfortable, but the pointy toe shape is odd, and it took some practice to avoid tripping over the toe edge on stairs. I almost took a knife to reshape them a bit. However, before long I realized that the name of these flip flops is totally appropriate. After just a few months of wear, they turned to Mush. The heels completely lost their cushion and it was as if I was walking barefoot on concrete. I have some 10-year old Reef flip flops that have seen many, many more miles, and are completely curved from wear, yet still have decent cushioning.
Comfy, but not as good as Original Mush
I had a pair of Original Mush last year that I absolutely loved, and I thought I was buying another pair for this summer. Nope. The footprint of these is different (narrower and also longer in the forefoot) and they are not nearly as comfy and squishy. They are fine though, no blister issues or anything. I looked online and discovered that Teva is still making Original Mush and they can be purchased directly from Teva and many other outlets. REI: Bring back Original Mush by customer demand!
Flip-Flop Heaven
This is the greatest flip-flop that I have ever discovered. It is priced to last the season and the wonderful arch support found in this product is lacking in every other footwear of this sort.

Over the years I had tried several brands and styles of flip-flops and hadn't found any that I could wear to actually walk around in. I tried on dozens in large shoe stores without any luck. Last year I found my first pair of Teva Mush and they are now my shoe of choice most of the summer. I can walk the dogs, go shopping or visit the farmers' market with happy feet. The sole has just the right cushion and support to feel like barefoot, only better.
Great for regular to narrow feet
These are the best flip flops I've ever owned. Most flip flops I can't wear because they flop around on my foot too much. These are perfect for my regular to narrow feet. Although I don't fit into a narrow shoe my foot runs on the narrow side and these fit perfectly. I bought three pair last summer and wore them like crazy and they still don't show any wear. Highly recommend for those looking for a fitted flip flop!
Instant comfort
I have been in search of a flip flop that was comfortable. I've made the mistake of getting the cheapo ones not knowing that Teva made them. When I tried them on at the store it was instant comfort and I can tell I could wear them all day. No pinching between the toes, good cushioning and they stay on with minimal effort. I am a size 7.5 wide foot and the size 8 fits perfectly. Only whole sizes available.
Mourning over lost Mush
Oh Teva, what have you done to my beloved Mush flip flops? I used to adore the cute patterns, comfy straps, cushy feel and the way the soles conformed to my feet. These sandals are nothing like them. The unpadded straps cut into the tops of my feet. The soles are narrow, stiff and uncomfortable. And the plain black straps are ugly and boring. Please bring back the older styles!
Bring back the old ones!
I loved the Original mush flip flop. This version has the same quality, seems like it will be equally long lasting, however, I really don't like how much narrower they are from the previous design. I do not think that I am going to keep this pair. I have tried to find a pair of the old ones to no avail. Please Teva, consider bringing back the old design or manufacturing both styles!
