Gator machete for easy home outdoor usage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this machete from Influenster complimentary in exchange for my honest review. It is a beautiful looking machete. I love that it comes with a cover to keep safe and protected. It is easy to hold onto without losing grip. It has dual blade, one sharp flat blade and one serrated saw-like blade on the other side. It’s easy to flip over with one hand to use the other side. It has a string to wrap around your wrist. It is durable and tough enough to cut up some branches and shrubs. Some things are easier to cut than others though. I like the cover it comes with so I can take it with me without having the blade exposed. Overall it’s a good tool to have for when you need it and easy to store away as well.
Super Handy camping or hunting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really impressed by everything made by Gerber, they make quality tools and top notch materials. This Jr Machete is nothing short of fantastic. The blade is both sharp and honed to a great edge. The other side of the blade is a saw style blade that really bites into the surface you're cutting. It has tremendous versatility from chopping branches and light brush to sawing small limb and trees. I'm really impressed with the sheath that comes with the blade. It protects the blade and more over helps the user from cutting themselves. The handle is soft and makes for easy gripping while the rope handle let's you have another layer of protection in case the machete slips out of your hand. I'd highly recommend this tool for anyone going camping or hunting. It's small enough to hide under your seat or in your backpack.
Sturdy & Versatile

Since it’s the right size it’s easy to bring around and can be used for a variety of different things. It seems to be made with a very sturdy material that will last. I love that it comes with a sheath to keep it in when not in use, for both safety reasons and convenience. I can’t wait to explore the possibilities with this machete.
It is a very strong a sharp blade after using it and checking the blade there was no chips or anything!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't wait to use it! It's bigger than i thought it would be . Comes with a sheath. Handle is soft . Too big for me to carry everywhere but will test it out on small trees in the back yard .
Worked well, but didn't last
This machete is a great concept. It is a perfect size for backpacking and having a blade & saw in one device saves weight and space. I used the machete on an overnight backpacking trip. It was wonderful about 30 minutes. Then when chopping a 2" diameter branch, the cutting edge of the blade broke off in large pieces. I plan to return to REI...not sure if I will try this product again or search for an alternative.
Sharp and effective - game changer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I go hunting often and where we live the woods have a lot of bushes and branches that are just totally impossible to get through. This machete is super sharp and durable. It cuts the branches and brush with ease only needing a little bit of elbow grease to make it work. The sheath is good to have in order to store it away and ensure nobody gets cut when traveling with it. Definitely a must have for someone who loves hunting and needs to clear a path when going deep into the woods!

This machete is great for clearing woods or even just some smaller trees and vines you want gone! It’s dual function so you can chop or saw and it has sawtooth tech! It’s packable sheath with belt loop makes it easy to wear and have on hand when needed! Its fixed blade is high carbon steel and the handle is glass-filled nylon with gator grip! This is a really good quality machete that will surly last you awhile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gerber Gator Machtte Jr was an exciting item to receive. Gerber is a well known quality brand in knives . This machete did not disappoint! It's is a great weight and size to use with ease. It came with detailed safety and use instructions and a durable sheath to safely store it. It fits well in hand and has a safety wrist lanyard . The blade is very sharp and easily cut grasses and small plant stalks. The serrated saw blade is rated to cut branches up to 1 inch . I was very impressed by all aspects of this machete. I don't know what more you could ask for from the product ..very satisfied !

It seems well made, and has a comfortable handle, with flared end for safety. Saw side looks good, but can't comment on it's effectiveness. Nice protective case, and wrist strap as well.
