1 Fit, 1 Didn't
I bought two of these both for exactly same kayak cockpit dimensions. One fit, the other didn't. There was not enough bungee cord length to adjust, in other words one was way to tight. So instead of sending it back, I purchase some bungee cord and re-threaded it through the cover (not fun) and it was then adjustable and fit my other kayak cockpit. SEALS need to add several inches of bungee cord length to make it truly "adjustable".
Years later: Durable, great fitting
I love this cockpit cover. The 1.7 is perfect for my Elie Strait 140xe. It stays on at 90mph on my car roof. I always pack it when I go touring so I don’t have to worry about bugs, spiders, or rodents the next day! Fits great while still being easy to put over the cockpit.
Great for transport or storage
The Seals Cockpit cover is a great add-on if traveling with a kayak on your vehicle. Reduced wind drag is just one benefit. We like to store our kayaking essentials inside the boat while traveling, freeing additional room inside the vehicle. After a day (or week) of paddling, storing your river funked (yeah, you know that is a thing) gear outside your car is a beautiful thing. The cover features a secure bungee cord to attach to the rim lip of your boat. In addition, it has and adjustable strap to wrap around the circumference of the hull. These covers are also super durable. Have been using this model for 6+ years on various kayaks, and they still look and feel like new. For those that need long-term storage...they might keep those pesky pest out of your valued kayak. Just make sure you get the correct size fitted for your application.
One Tough Cockpit Cover
This is one tough cockpit cover that does not flap in the wind when driving 80 miles an hour down the highway. It also keeps the birds and insects from building their nests inside the cockpit area during storage. The 1.7 was the perfect size for my Jackson Journey.
Still like new after two years of use
Used these for two years on my CD Crosswinds two-man and my WS Sealution, and the 1.4 on my wife's 16.5 WS Tempest. Good fit, like new after two years, great when cartopping kayaks 250 miles down the highway. All pro's, no con's.

Cockpit fits very tight
The quality of the cockpit cover is very good. The challenge is trying to put it on my Perception kayak. The customer support from NRS is responsive and gave me tips and a video link to help me. The video gave me a good start and I had to use my own technique of pulling the cover from the bow of the kayak to get it on. This product would have gotten 5?stas except for the difficulty of installing it.
Snug and Secure
Does exactly what it should. I have a 9’ Dagger Katana and this cockpit seal fits perfectly. Over two winters, kayak stored in a garage, no bugs, leaves, dust, or anything else crept into the hull. Have never left it in the rain, however, so cannot vouch for that kind of seal. Elastic has held up and the clips keep it in place for extra reassurance. Very satisfied.

I own several Seals products (spray skirts, cockpit covers, paddle float) and they are simply the best. The highest quality and flawless function. It's the only brand of kayak accessory I buy.
