Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hit the spot I was looking for a low sodium meal when I bought this product. The printed instructions were easy to follow and we enjoyed with a tasty hot meal. The packaged meal was enough for two adults. It's not the best tasting meal available, but what is? One must bring their personal food supplement to enhance the store bought product. This packaged meal product is good enough to start with. We did not bring anything to add to this meal, but it did hit and satisfy our hunger. Best of all it did not have a strong salty taste. I would buy this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Al dente o troppo cotto? Underdone or overdone? I'm thinking deliziosoa, delicious. Lots of seasonings and white cheese sauce with noodles and chicken. Yum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a winner I picked one of these up at the REI in Sandy, UT on my way up to Kings Peak, UT. I thought this meal was great (keep in mind it's freeze dried, haha) and of course easy to prepare. This meal is top 3 of the freeze dried meals I've had. I like that the clear bottom is integrated into the packaging making it easy to make sure you got a thorough stirring job when mixing in your boiling water. The cook time wasn't bad at 10,000 feet, and was a perfect dinner for the night before my summit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Family approved My family did a back to back taste test with this and a less expensive freeze dried brand. The extra $1.50 or so for Backpackers Pantry was well worth it! Good heavy flavor, no weird after taste or excessive salt. Pasta, chicken and sauce amazingly re-hydrate to something that looks like it just came off a stove top.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rich and Creamy I made this meal for myself this past weekend. I thought it didn't taste that bad but I felt like it definitely lacked something. Like the other reviews I think it needed some extra veggies or something in it to make it something more. The red pepper flakes did help and that was a quick solution but it was pretty bland yet rich at the same time. In the end I think it actually upset my stomach a little bit. And I remember while I was eating it some of the noodles in the middle kind of clumped and mushed together. Also yes some of them were a little crunchy hear and there. I even packed with me one of my mini spatulas which helped stir everything up. Cook time is honestly not that bad. So I have to give this 3 stars because it is a very mixed review to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backpackers Pantry is for gourmands I've had several of Backpacker Pantry's meals, and they're always a surprise as far as spices and taste combinations. If any of them seem a tad more pricey than other brands, it's worth it when you sit down to eat, believe me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tasty I bought this for a back country trout fishing trip in the Adirondacks. This is definitely one of the better ones from BP. Has ok flavor. Its not so loaded up with salt that you can't eat it, though it does still have a lot of salt. All in all this one isn't bad and I would buy it again. Only other complaint is that its two serving. I always seem to either get full or get sick of eating a little over half way through and throwing out some of the food.
