Many uses, small package
I have found more uses for this little kit than I figured it would be useful for. It kept me together after a fall on the AT while hiking, to keeping a friends hand that was slashed open clean during a camping trip. Its definately on the minimal side, use for backpacking if you are only going for two days or less. It can be hard to sort through, being that its so compact, but I see the size as more of a feature than a draw back. Waterproof, GI proof, and useful.

Not watertight
I bought this for a first aid kit for kayaking. Never unsealed the package, capsized, and al the contents are wet. The pins are rusty and theres quite a bit of moisture in it. Retuning t since it was unopened, but not sure if the contents are in waterproof packaging (doesnt look like it). Even if it were, i doubt the contents are sterile at this point.

Very usefull kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice medical/small first aid kit. It even has a tool to remove a tick. It comes with lots of items. It is very handy on the go and in the car. The bag is resealable and it is easy to open or close.

Missing items

I'm surprised to see the kit so highly rated, as I am missing items. The bandage inventory was incomplete and it was missing the after bite wipes and some of the alcohol wipes and gauze. The package was completely sealed and only opened once I was on the trail. Reading the other reviews I can see that I'm not the only one to experience this. This item needs to be pulled from the shelves.

Incomplete kit

The other reviews are correct, this kit is incomplete. It's missing several items and also came with a larger bandage that is not listed on the kit. REI should probably heavily discount these and get rid of them, but even then I question the ethics of selling a medical kit that does not include everything needed. If you buy this and need to rely on it, please don't expect the manufacture to follow through and provide all the included items.

Over half of the items are missing

This is my second Medical Kit .3. The first item had all the advertised items. This kit was missing about half the items. No after bite wipes, only one sterile prep pad, only one pain relieve pill. I wish I had read other reviews before I bought this kit as a refill, very disappointed.

missing items

Kit is not as advertised. I am missing 3/6 “sterile gauze dressing 2x2”, 3 antiseptic wipes, and 3 “after bite” wipes. I learned this the hard way while on trail and needing several of the items that are NOT in this kit.

TINY

I wanted a small, lightweight first aid kit for shorter hikes and adventures where it isn't super practical to bring my entire first aid kit and this product gets the job done. This kit is remarkably small and light for what's included and you can stick it virtually anywhere. I certainly wouldn't rely on it for backpacking trips or extended backcountry excursions since you can only really treat scrapes, cuts, bug bites and blisters with it, but it covers what you could need on a day trip. This is nice, lightweight addition to my pack that provides me with some peace of mind.

Incomplete Kit

The kit I received came sealed snd untampered however the contents did not match the description on the website and on the package itself. It came with two extra bandages but she was missing the 3 Antiseptic Wipes and the 3 After Bite Wipes
