Rated 4 out of 5 by from Continues to suprise me I was VERY skeptical about this pump, but I gotta say, at this price this thing has been pretty good. I use it to inflate my 14' raft and tandem inflatable kayak. It's slower than the more expensive models, but it gets the job done. I've used it about 20-30 times now, and have never had a problem. I keep expecting it to die, but it hasn't yet. At this price I figure I can buy 5 of these for the price of one of the faster and more powerful models and still be ahead. Cord is a little short and could be a problem if all you have is a standard dashboard cigarette outlet. We have one at the back of our SUV, so it works fine with a little manipulation of the boat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, small powerhouse After weeks of research, I finally decided on the Advanced Elements 12Volt charger. Amazon had it for a similar price, but I couldn't wait for the delivery. I went to my local store and found out that there was only 1 left in the Bay area. I called the Berkeley store and they held it for me. I was surprised by the small size and the beat up package did not provide a lot of confidence. However, all of my research showed that this pump was unanimously supported by all the reviewers, and most of the other pumps were poorly reviewed. I used it on my recent camping trip at the Guerneville music festival to inflate a sea eagle 370 kayak, 2 pro kayak seats, 2 pillows, and a queen-sized ~6 inch mattress. This tiny pump inflated everything very quickly, and without overheating. It ran a bit loud, but I didn't expect a motorized, electric device to be whisper soft either. I used this pump with a portable battery/car charger/flashlight system. I am very happy with my purchase, and I recommend it very highly. At the end of the long weekend, I used the deflate feature on the pump to deflate and pack up the same 6 items. The deflate feature is very quick and it really empties all the air out of the inflatables. The slightly higher price of this pump is well worth it. This pump works well to inflate and deflate various items. It comes with 3 nozzle sizes. It works quickly, efficiently and doesn't overheat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Little Air Pump We used this item to pump up our air mattress and floats for a camping/rafting trip. The long cord was a real plus as I didn't feel tethered to the car. The size and weight were great for car camping. The power and speed seemed more than adequate for our needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a good pump... I guess I got this because it was the only motorized pump in REI and I needed one ASAP. It inflated my raft quickly, but I was taking it through woods where my car couldn't go. It's MUCH more annoying than you think. So this product is great... but it still needs a car!

Would this pump work with an NRS thrive?

Asked by: Harrrisja06
We do not recommend this pump for a NRS Thrive as the max PSI is much lower than the requirements for the paddle board.

Hello, would you be able to confirm that this will work for the Exped Megamat Duo sleeping pad? We went camping this weekend and found the Exped manual foot pump to be very cumbersome. We need a reliable faster way to inflate & deflate.

Asked by: Niña
This pump can be used to inflate the MegaMat Duo.

I purchased this to inflate an advanced elements Hula paddle board, but the connectors do not match the board input. There are no threads on the pump nozzles.   How does this connect?

Asked by: Jasonaut
The Hula 8 uses a Spring Valve. To inflate the Hula using the Advanced Elements 12 Volt Electric Pump, simply depress the stem and turn to the left (the inflate positions).

I would like to use for my paddle board. How much PSI could not find anywhere !

Asked by: Cris
This pump has a maximum output of .9 PSI. The pump is designed to be a starter pump. When inflating a kayak/SUP you should always finish pumping using a manual pump with a higher PSI.
