Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sandal I bought these great sandals to take on a mission trip to San Ignacio Belize. I knew we would be walking and wading and they are waterproof. It was hot and humid. We visited remote villages and crossed rivers. I was on my feet alot and took them thru everything. We went on a tour of the ATM Cave (which I hightly recommend) where were required to swim and wade and climb and scoot and shimmy thru places. I was so glad to have them. I didnt slip or hurt my toes or anything. We went cave tubing too and they were the best for paddling and wading. I havent had any issues with them. They are very comfortable. Not one blister. They are my new favorite shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect For the most part they are great. Great for biking in. Great for walking around in. I have hiked in them and it wasn't the best, mostly because they're probably not really meant for that. Not enough arch support, sticks get caught in the open parts. I also played tennis in them once and got a HUGE nasty blister under my big toe, basically all the skin just ripped right off from stopping quick in them... of all my many sports-related injuries that was a first! But I guess they're not really meant for tennis either. Also after walking around in them all day I start to ache for more arch support--that is something I'd expect from this shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not enough arch support - uncomfortable I'm a backpacker, biker, etc., and needed shoes for a 340-mile bike ride from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC. I could only take one pair of shoes and I thought they would be most versitile. I have high arches and usually wear Birkenstocks, and I was very disappointed in the Keens. Not only did my feet feel hot the moment I put them on, unless I had on socks, but worse, I could not wear them to walk comfortably for lack of arch support. Now that I'm home and put them on occasionally to walk around the block, my feet feel sore and tired immediately. They're OK for biking or boating since these activities do not require walking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Greatest sandals ever! While hiking Italy/Spain last summer, I saw everyone wearing Keen brand sandals/shoes. So, when I was planning my trip to El Salvador this last March, I decided to investigate them. All of the reviews I read and people I spoke to said superior things about these shoes, so I decided to try them myself. I hiked all over El Salvador, through mountains and rivers and beach areas. They were great! So durable and they dry fast too. The only thing I didn't like about the shoes was that they didn't breathe that well. At times I had to take them off to let my feet get some air. Other than that, they are the perfect multi-purpose shoe and are sturdy and very durable. I would definitely recommend them to any avid outdoors person. Or just anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond my expectations I bought these shoes two days before going on a 30-mile backpacking trip to Havasupai. I usually prefer to take some time to break in my shoes, but I was in a hurry for something that would work well wading through water. I actually wore these on the entire trip (with a 20+ pound pack) - which I wouldn't recommend (lack of ankle support for backpacking, but my hiking boots were giving me blisters), but they held up great! They work wonderful on slippery rock and wading through rivers. The toe protection is great. I couldn't be happier with them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for play anymore My son had invited his 55 year old mom on a trip to the Yucatan last summer and I was not going to "wus" out with shoes that could not take me everywhere. I was determined to pack light with only one pair of shoes. I read all of the reviews and with only 2 days of breaking them in I went with my Keen Venice H2 sandals, and hiked, swam, climbed ruins, and now use them for everything. I teach in elementary school and don't care that they see me in skirts or a dress and these sandals, I am comfortable. Now in the winter (no snow really) I still only wear these sandals with socks and will be ordering a pair in black so they are even more versatile than the blue and black I have been wearing. I had problems with plantar fascitis, too, and just put my inserts in. But even without them my feet still feel great. What a deal!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite! By far the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. I feel they are even more comfy than the newport - they're little tighter in the instep. I'm a 3 season venice wearer and have too many colors already. Can you really have too many colors?! :) Get lots of compliments - also seem to be a great conversation starter! Great support - have worn them in the Disney parks as well as on the trail. You do have to remove, to get out small rocks, however. Worth it for the support you get! I wear a 9 and have purchased all venice in a 9. Keen shoes, however, I tend to wear a 10. That goofy Keen sizing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super comfortable but traction not great I wore these on a 3 week trip to Central America. Very comfortable (and I have flat feet) and I could wear them with socks if the temperatures dropped. On the trip, I wore them to Semuc Champe in Guatemala. I tried walking over some rocks in the water and almost slipped. My friend who had the same shoes in the guys' version had the same problem. The traction on these aren't that great if the surface is slippery so if you're looking for shoes that work on land and in wet environments, these may not be the best. Also, these don't dry that quickly... I've left them to air-dry over night and it definitely takes a while. Despite the traction problems in water, I'd definitely wear these again for trips that doesn't involve exploring areas with wet rocks.
