Great tag line
I am a firefighter in Austin, TX. I use this line as my safety tag line while searching structure fires. One end is clipped to my airpack and the other to my search partner. The glowing line is great in near zero lighting conditions. Just hit it with your light before you enter. Great utility cord.
Great gear to have
This cordelette is a great product. Out of the package it was very nimble and easy to work with. It is great for anchor systems, though I wish it came a little bit longer, hence only a 4 star rating. Is useful on two point anchors but too short for three point anchor system.
Excellent climbing anchor
I use it to create a sliding X and it's absolutely perfect. Occasionally bolt anchors aren't level and in some cases are stacked vertically, this item works perfect to equalise the system. Perfect length, like the glow in the dark aspect, feels totally safe.
Great 7mm cord
I used mine to make a Purcell prussik. Cut in half it's the right size. It can then be untied in a 'needy' situation. Good to find in low light too. Since you get 2 PAS (aka Purcell Prussiks) it's a good deal.
Respectible
I used the Cordelette to rig a mountaineering sled. It's not rigid but nicely flexible and can accommodate any knot. The mantle is not too slick and it has enough bite to hold onto any friction knot. But it does not glow in the dark.
short and does not knot well
This line is too short for a 3 point anchor. As a utility cord it is too stiff for some knots. Slide and grip knots will not hold at all and other common knots may not cinch down properly. It does not glow enough to be noticeable unless it is really dark.
Great cord
This cord handles well, is the perfect length, and the killer feature that was especially impressive to my kids... it glows in the dark.
Easy to see a good product.
Rope is very easy to tie and with multiple uses. Familiar and work with the brand.
