Easy to work with

I'm an apprentice lineman and bought this to fashion a tool lanyard out of to secure heavier power tools while climbing. The cord is stiff and ridgid which makes nice for braids and twisting your own three strand rope out of. It also cuts and burns very neatly if you need some individual pieces. I went in looking for some 550 cord and in the majority of cases I'd recommend this cord over that.

Incredible!!!!

WOW !!!!!! Its like rope...only smaller !!! I can tie stuff up with it. I can tie knots with it. I can even lash things down to my roof rack with it !!! You know, like rope...only smaller. If you have a need for tying stuff up, making knots or lashing stuff to your roof rack then get your butt down to the local REI CoOp and get some of this stuff. Better hurry though...when word gets out about this sweet sweet line there is no way they'll be able to keep it in stock. Oh...I almost forgot. It works for tying stuff down on my kayak as well. Git Sum !!!!!!

Strong and durable

I used this rope to secure my hammock to a tree for hammock camping. It certainly is strong enough for holding a lot of dead weigh, but it stretches a lot in the beginning when first putting it to use.

Cheap and sturdy

Used for hanging a single person hammock. 50 feet came in at about 12 bucks, more than enough to hang a hammock between two trees 25 feet apart with a prusik, rope has a very small amount of stretch only noticeable at about 10-12 feet in length. Color I got was green/blue. Cord is not too stiff, easily tied a prusik around the same 4mm cord that locked tight. Dirt cheap, sturdy, flexible and not too stretchy. Perfect utility cord.

Confirm that you are getting the right diameter

The cord is ok. The store display is not clear. Thought I was getting 5mm because the display was not clear. They did not confirm what they were cutting before they presented the cut and fused line. More a store display and service review than a product review.

A solid cord for all your unexpected events

This cord Kept our Tepui closed safe at 70mph after the zipper failed on a roadtrip. Now that I have some great home-made straps, (Thanks to some REI webbing and a couple D-rings,) I will be keeping this cord in the car for the next unexpected event!

Great for canyoneering

I was able to pull 60m 9.8 rope with this pull cord. It was hard even with the glove but it did the job. I am very happy with it. Very light pull cord with an exceptional strength

Good when there is NO reflective paracord @ R.E.I.

Good that I had this option to buy this nylon type cord @ the R.E.I. store in Boulder, but not nearly as good in my opinion as the black or orange reflective paracord which was much easier to tie tightly, & reflects when I get to my campsite with the glow helping me substantially.

fine

Product is fine, average, BUT I had to use up some $ before it expired. $1.25 for the cord and $5.99 shipping! $5.99 for 5’ of Paracord is horrible! I think REI needs better contracts with the shipper
