Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty Treat This is a tasty dessert or maybe breakfast. I like the chocolate cookie crumbles on top. If your camping for more than 2 days and you know your gonna want something really sweet with some chocolate then you need this.I would give it 5 stars except for the texture of the raspberries is different. 4 1/2 stars is what I want to give it. With a 7 year shelf life you can't beat Mt. House.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty! These are very, very tasty, especially if you've been on the trail for awhile! A word of caution, however, I ruined by triple teflon coated GSI anodized aluminum pans with this dessert. The raspberries and the crust ended up getting cooked onto my pan and stuck to the teflon coating so I had to scrape it all off, leaving my pan with the bare aluminum exposed...not good. Luckily, I've got a new titanium pot that I won't have to worry about scratching, so I'm thinking about giving this delicious dessert another try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not great This is one of those products whose description is more appealing than its execution. That said, it is tasty although the consistency is rather goey. The result of pouring in the water is a tasty, sweet, thickish syrup containing rasberry bits. A separate packet holding fine ground chocolate "crumbles" that taste a lot like Oreo cookies is added after the syrup is ready. My preference is to add about half of the crumbles; adding the complete packet overwhelms the rasberries. Some might find the result overly sweet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious! Brilliant creation! I love the fact that I can pour water in the bag and let it sit while I'm finishing dinner. No need to constantly stir or make sure something isn't boiling over. Best of all, there are no extra dirty dishes! I would give it 5 stars, but the texture is a little lumpy for my taste. The taste is incredible, especially after a full day of backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camping dessert ever This is the dessert that my husband and I look forward to after a cold day of hiking. It's nothing too fancy, basically raspberries with a chocolate cookie crumble, but it tastes amazing and we've actually bought some to use as a dessert at home. We were planning on purchasing some Mountain House meals with our dividend for our hurricane kit and we've decided that we'd really just like to have 20 bags of Raspberry Crumble. I'm mostly kidding and we'll probably get something with protein, but the Raspberry Crumble is just that good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dessert! My son (14) and I tried this on a recent backpacking trip to Pt. Reyes. Fantastic for the setting - would buy this again without hesitation, and would share it with any foodie friends I could get to go on a car camping or backpacking trip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so good. We threw it out. I bought this product for an upcoming overnight hike 2 of my friends and I are going on in 2 weeks. We decided to try the food out at home first to make sure we would like it. We tried the lasagna, which was really good, and then we tried this raspberry crumble. None of us liked it and we threw it away after about 3 bites. We all thought it would have been better with regular shortbread crumble as opposed to the chocolate crumble that it comes with. The tastes just didn't go well together in our opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very yummy but too much for 2 people We really wanted to splurge on a dessert on a recent backpacking trip but there were only two of us, and this dessert package serves 4 people. So we used it as one of our two entrees. The flavor was great, and a nice change from the usual entrees, but the 4-serving size was really TOO much. It would be nice if Mountain House offered this in a 2-person size.
