DO NOT RECOMMEND. I currently own the Columbia Women's Apres Arson™ II Winter Long Down Jacket but needed something that went below the knee. This jacket seemed like the perfect option HOWEVER, after just two months it is falling apart. THIS IS NOT DURABLE. There are feathers coming out of the seams, it already has a small rip, and the columbia label on the sleeve is peeling. It's not like I'm hiking in this thing - I wear it daily to run errands, go to work, or go to the gym. There is no reason for this jacket to be falling apart already. I've had zero issues with the Apres Arson after YEARS of wear. The outside layer of this jacket is extremely thin. Extremely disappointed in the quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best winter coat I own - warm and stylish! I purchased the Amaze Puff Long Hooded Jacket for a winter trip to Cleveland Ohio, and it exceeded every expectation. It kept me perfectly warm all weekend, even sitting outside at a football game, yet never felt bulky or restrictive. I loved that I could comfortably wear it fully zipped when it was cold or casually drape it over my shoulders when I warmed up, and it looked polished either way. The stone color is beautiful and surprisingly forgiving; I received more compliments on this coat than anything else I wore. Another pleasant surprise was discovering that it is machine washable (do not dry clean), which makes it more practical for real life and travel. This coat strikes the perfect balance, and I would absolutely recommend it and would purchase again without hesitation.
I bought this during the Black Friday and as soon as I got in the store and came to look for this coat, I was shocked by the smell. I did not know where it came from, but I would have never imagined it was this expensive coat. I took it home and never realized of the smell after unpacking. I thought it was a matter of fresh air, but no. This was supposed to be my moms birthday present, but now it won’t be. If you wash it even as carefully as I did or dry it, it will never get back to it’s fluffiness. It’s sad because the zippers also lost it’s color after first wash. Would NEVER recommend to buy this One again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While not doing my figure any favors, this is a functional, warm winter coat. What it lacks in style it makes up for in comfort and function. It’s quite spacious, so if you want something a little more snug, size down. It’s warm but not make me sweat warm, which is ok because there’s plenty of room to wear a fleece jacket or sweatshirt under it. I love the straps on the inside that allow me to carry my coat more easily indoors kind of like a backpack. The length is perfect for me at 5’6”. The fitted cuffs around the sleeves are a wonderful, soft elastic material (not that weird rubber fabric most coats have). Overall good quality and a great winter coat for those very cold climates.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat! Very lightweight but very warm. Feels amazing on. However, the zipper is plastic and of poor quality. It is difficult to get started almost every time, which is annoying. Hoping it doesn’t break or hang in the fabric and rip the material. The zipper quality is not congruent with the overall quality of the coat. Would have given 5 stars if zipper was satisfactory.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect winter coat!! It's super warm, and I felt cozy while walking around the city. I get sick easily, so feeling warm is important to me. It's also super cute, and I love the suspenders on the inside that allow you to slip out of the coat while wearing it like a backpack i if you get too hot inside or something. It's also great for wearing the coat like a blanket. I bought this without trying it on, and i'm so glad I did. The rich wine color is also gorgeous. It's a little long on me, but that's honestly what I wanted--maximum warmth and protection from the cold.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to upgrade my winter coat this year and have been wanting a coat that was long enough to cover my legs. Finding something that was still affordable can be challenging. This coat checked all the boxes. It has been great for warmth in the cold Minnesota winter weather. A couple of things I'm not keen on are how open it is at the bottom of the coat without an option to tighten it. I also wish the neck had an extra layer for warmth, but I use a fleece gaiter that does the trick. Overall, satisfied with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is perfect. I needed a coat to last me many winters to come and this was the one. First got the Small and it was too roomy and oversized. I sized down to X-SMALL and it’s the perfect fit with room for a sweater layered beneath . I’m 155 lbs and 5’5. Usually a medium/ size 6-8 in regular clothing. The thumb holes, well tailored hood and deep(fleece lined)pockets are small things that make this coat good to great. Thanks Columbia.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in love! I shopped around for months before I decided to go with the amaze-puff and I'm very happy with my decision; it has all the features that I wanted (and then some)! The bus stop wind in the dead of Montana winters will not prevail this year. Definitely size down by 1 size - I'm normally an XL and after reading other comments, I went with a L and it's perfect and still provides plenty of room for layers.
The double zipper jams every time, I've never had a coat that stained or was harder to clean than this coat in spite of the special coating, which wore off after the first wash done as instructions required. The buttons on the hood unsnap with the slightest tension which is absurd given you have to pull it to put it on. I'm already tired and ready to throw it away and I've only been wearing it for 3 months.
