The Columbia Amaze Puff Long Down Hooded coat keeps me amazingly warm. It is puffy and soft with room to layer. The inner waist pinch strap creates even more warmth. I am 5'2" and 110 lbs and bought size small. it hits my calves. I bought the Amaze Puff mittens to seal the deal! I highly recommend this coat if warmth during winter is what you are looking for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While not doing my figure any favors, this is a functional, warm winter coat. What it lacks in style it makes up for in comfort and function. It’s quite spacious, so if you want something a little more snug, size down. It’s warm but not make me sweat warm, which is ok because there’s plenty of room to wear a fleece jacket or sweatshirt under it. I love the straps on the inside that allow me to carry my coat more easily indoors kind of like a backpack. The length is perfect for me at 5’6”. The fitted cuffs around the sleeves are a wonderful, soft elastic material (not that weird rubber fabric most coats have). Overall good quality and a great winter coat for those very cold climates.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is perfect. I needed a coat to last me many winters to come and this was the one. First got the Small and it was too roomy and oversized. I sized down to X-SMALL and it’s the perfect fit with room for a sweater layered beneath . I’m 155 lbs and 5’5. Usually a medium/ size 6-8 in regular clothing. The thumb holes, well tailored hood and deep(fleece lined)pockets are small things that make this coat good to great. Thanks Columbia.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in love! I shopped around for months before I decided to go with the amaze-puff and I'm very happy with my decision; it has all the features that I wanted (and then some)! The bus stop wind in the dead of Montana winters will not prevail this year. Definitely size down by 1 size - I'm normally an XL and after reading other comments, I went with a L and it's perfect and still provides plenty of room for layers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in search of a suitable coat for the humid southern winters, particularly one that provides warmth and length. My goal was to find a long coat that could withstand cold temperatures, wind, and rain, allowing me to comfortably sit outside for extended periods while watching my son play sports. Additionally, I wanted a design that would eliminate the need for carrying a blanket for added warmth. It is recommended to order your true size when selecting this coat. Initially, I ordered an XXL, but found that it was too roomy, even with layers underneath. Consequently, I returned it and opted for an XL, which fits me perfectly. It's worth noting that in the Heavenly coat, the XL is still snug when I wear a sweater or additional layers. Additionally, I appreciate the cream color, especially since most of my other Columbia items are black. For reference, I am 5'7" tall and weigh around 185 pounds.
Ordered sizes S and M in matte black. I am usually a UK size 10/12 in jackets, 5'10" and weigh 125 pounds. "Find my size" said size S. Size S starts pulling a bit across the chest with a thicker sweather. It also rounds out like a potato in the hip area as another reviewer pointed out, even more so because the pockets jut out to the sides. I kept size M because I like the fit better overall even though it is a bit roomy. The jacket is soft, comfortable and pretty lightweight given its length. In case it helps, here are the approx. jacket measurements in centimetres (measured to the best of my abilities; for circumference multiply x2 and convert as needed): Shoulders: size S 38cm. Size M 40cm Chest (measured under the arms): size S 50cm. Size M 52cm Hips (measured from the lowest point where the pocket zipper ends): size S 54cm. Size M 56cm Arms (measured without the hand cover) size S & Size M between 57-58cm Length: size S 116cm. Size M 117cm.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very warm. I returned because overall too big. I usually wear a small in most clothes but I could have worn a whole other coat under this. I’m 5’0 and when I tried to use the built in straps the coat dragged on the ground. This would be a great and warm coat for someone taller. The built in thumb holes were nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is amazing!!! I would say it runs large so order true to size for an oversized look that works great for layering! I wore it all night at an outdoor even and it blocked out the wind and mist that was in the air! Will be looking into buying it in more colors and styles.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a jacket definitely meant for layering. I could have sized down to a small for a more snug fit( 5’4” 150 short torso long legs bottom heavy). I love the lined pockets. I’m about to order the shorter version and will order another long on in another colour once they’re on sale.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat because of the premium material and warmth factor but unfortunately the size Small was way too big! I don't plan on layering with this jacket so I exchanged for an XS and it was perfect! I can wear a nice sweater underneath and it fits amazing.
