Love, bought twice
To use the word precious to describe these boots is an understatement. I had to return them becuase I didn't realize they were toddler size, but while returning multiple people commented on how cute they are. I'm an adult size 7.5/8 and I can actually wear a kids 5 in this brand. I have a pair already and they are comfy and last while plus you will absolutely get compliments wearing them. One thing- for kids you may want to glue the inner sole (the loose part) down because it has a tendecy to to slip out when removing your foot. I would like to add I wear these all the time too. Hiking to the crag, rainy days, and days I just want to wear yellow. highly recommend
Our second pair and won’t be our last
Our 2.5 year old embodies there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes. We bought these boots first last spring when she learned about puddles and they kept her feet dry and fit her adorably chunky feet. Last fall we did a hiking trip in Olympic NP and Vancouver Island that rained 8/10 days (so puddles galore even on the two sunny days) where she wore these every day and hiked everyday. She never complained about them being uncomfortable and hiked at least a mile each day. She had sufficient traction when we explored tide pools and they were easy to get on/off. While I wish they had handles like Bogs, these are better at keeping her feet dry and we ordered our second pair this spring. Plus they are adorable.
A Little Short/Narrow, but OK Overall
These boots definitely look taller in the online photos than they are in real life. They also seem to be a little narrow/almost run small. We have a size 8.5/9.5 in some Reima snow boots, and the snow boots actually appear to be bigger than this 9.5 size rain boot (I thought the 9.5 would run bigger than the 8.5/9.5 size). I also ordered the Koralli sandals in a size 9.5 and they are HUGE, so the sizing of Reima footwear definitely isn't consistent. I don't love the overall design/fit of these rain boots, but it's not worth returning them (my toddler already claimed them as her own and has jumped in many muddy puddles). I probably wouldn't re-purchase in the future though, as it makes more sense to have a taller rain boot. (In the pics - black boots are the Reima snow boots for size reference, purple boots are old Bog boots for height reference, Sorel boot is my own boot for heigh reference as well).
Favorite rain boot. Bought twice
Love these. They're perfect. I've purchased them twice, big kid size as well. They are so stinking cute, they last forever, even with daily use, and are unbelievably comfortable. The yellow is exactly what people need on a gray rainy day. Your feet will stay dry, you will get compliments, and again, so comfy.
I like the rubber feel
I like the rubber feel and my child has no problem getting them on and off. The only feedback would be to make them more of a level/barefoot shoe. I don’t see why they need to have a slight heel esp for developing feet.
These are a favourite of
These are a favourite of my 3 yr old. Ease of independent dressing and relatively lightweight. It would be awesome to see more barefoot attributes in Reima’s other shoes like these, but they work well enough.
Taika Rain Boots
Easy for my toddler to put on by himself, and they keep his feet dry in rain, slush, and mud. I love the insert in the foot that you can take out to keep track of sizing. Great boots.
Great tread, easy on and
Great tread, easy on and off with the cotton lining, and clearly comfortable as my toddler immediately started running and puddle stomping in these boots. Toddler and mom approved!
My daughter likes wearing these
My daughter likes wearing these boots, so that’s the most important thing. They fit her wide feet and seem well made. Hoping we can get through the rainy season without any leaks!
Taika rain boots size 8. 5/9
Purchased for my toddler, easy for little ones to put on and to take off by themselves. Wide enough for their feet and room to tuck trousers in. Perfect to enjoy puddles!
