The BEST kids' rainboots
We live in the PNW and have four young sons who climb trees and tromp through our forest. Before I found these boots, I bought 1 or 2 pair/child/season. Ugh! But, no more! These boots are the BEST! They are wonderfully flexible and withstand rain, mud and even dry out after getting filled in puddles. Each of my boys have a pair and they have lasted two full seasons and I may actually get to pass them down! I never would have thought I'd find kiddo boots like these. They are worth the money and I've even bought a couple extra pairs when they were on sale.
Well constructed adult and kid friendly boot that lasts!
Solid construction that's made to last. I highly recommend bogs rain boot in any style and design. They have enough flare and comfort with a quality feel that is often lacking. Off the shelf and budget boots don't hold up and the bog standard is something worth noting if you want to invest in long lasting shoes for the rain. My little one wears the bog boots for hours on end too. His tiny feet are well supported and easy for him to learn how to put on and rake off. Get a pair and you won't need another for a while.
Solid boot
We live and play in the rain! Fast becoming my son's favorite as they are comfortable and fast to put on. Quality is as expected, I don't see them leaking any time soon. They aren't super stiff which is wonderful for movement and exploring. However Very Slippery on hard, wet surfaces especially when running, would be my constructive feedback. They just don't grip without some texture on the ground. Examples are basketball courts, logs, rocks, asphalt roads. Maybe the winter ones will be better let you know next year!
Great quality, price & style!
Great quality boots. I liked the sizing, bought size 4 Youth & it didn't run small. It was generous, but not so generous that you'd have to size down. My son has enough room to wear socks plus more room on top of that. Perfect for a rainboot. The inside is lined. Not the kind of lining that comes out, or moves around inside annoyingly. Loved the print! Black & gray with white ghosts is really neat. I plan to buy a pair for myself & my husband too.
Comfortable but wears out quickly
Boots are comfortable but the heels keep wearing out after about 4-6 months of use. We assumed we'd be able to pass them down to our younger kiddos but it doesn't look like it. We haven't been able to make it with one pair through a single size. If you are looking for a rain boot you can wear occasionally these are great for that but if you need a durable, workhorse rain boot for frequent wear this might not be the right one.
Great boots
This is our second pair of the Bogs Rainboot. Our first pair held up for about six months before the lining peeled away and they were no longer functioning. I contacted Bogs and they replaced the boots!! I am very happy with our new pair and they seem to be much better quality. Very pleased and hope the second pair holds up much better. My four year old loves these boots because they are super easy to put on.
5 year old likes
Nice boot but fit smaller than other size 11s. My son loves to run in boots but was only falling in his other rain boots. I realized because the shaft was wide it wasn't supporting his foot that's why he kept tripping. He had bogs in the past and never had this problem so went with this style and so far so good. Always like the handles which make it easy for young kids to get on and off their boots.
Comfortable, durable, but the print is weird
These are Bogs so they will be outstanding quality and my son will outgrow them before they wear out. The print is the only reason for 4 stars. It is lighter in color in person, I'm confused by the mixture of straight edge shapes and curved ones like half circles? It's for kids, I wish it was shapes that they learn like hexagons, pentagon, etc.
Great boots, but soft rubber that wears out
My son loves these boots, and Bogs in general are our go to boots for Toddlers / young kids! However, I've noticed that the rubber on their sole is very soft and wears out a lot quicker than many other boots. This is obviously a tradeoff as it provides for great traction, but I'd love for these boots to last a little bit longer!
Narrow
I ordered those for my son. The boots are obviously good quality and well made, but calf area of the boot is too narrow for quick slide in and out. My son did not want to keep them because of how hard was put them on and off. He is regular size kid and we never confronted this issue before. Too bad, I really liked them.
