Great looks, comfort and price.
Just bought these today in pale gray w/ red and navy trim. Wow, what a comfortable shoe. I consistently wear a 9.5M (except Nikes and Pumas), and these fit like a glove. I think the pale gray uppers and navy sole coverings will help them stay cleaner looking longer than shoes that are mostly white. The insole has just a hint of arch support, but the structure of the uppers adds all I need. There's also more than adequate foot bed cushioning. Thankfully, they aren’t squishy like some shoes I've recently tried, which I found difficult to balance in or sense what they are doing. Sometimes a firmer shoe like these actually works better for me. They're very trim looking, so they don't look like snow shoes as many do with flared, oversized soles. I also prefer the almond-shaped toe, as opposed to round and square toes. The mesh top of the toe box provides plenty of forefoot ventilation, too. The strings do seem a bit short. In fact, they’re too short to use the topmost lace eyes. That’s partially due to my very high instep - the sides just don't lace as closely together as I would prefer. I'm thinking, though, that the laces will stretch over time. My only concern is sole durability. Several reviewers complain about premature sole wear, but from what I gather, they use them in sports that involve a lot of high impact. I’ll use them as walking shoes, so I'm hoping the soles will last more than a couple of months. Actually, the photos with wear that reviewers posted all show shoes with a different sole than mine. Mine are identical to the item listing photos. Theirs are not. Fingers crossed that Asics has corrected the wear problem by using different soles. Otherwise, I consider these to be a great shoe at a great price.
Sole doesn't last
Had for 3-4 months, sole wore off or came off in chunks while exercising
Poor Quality and not durable
The sole on the shoes have worn out after playing less than 10 hours on indoor pickleball courts. Bad quality and I would personally recommend the players looking for pickleball shoes not to purchase these shoes. For the price point we have paid, we expect the shoes to lost longer. I use other branded tennis shoes and the soles on the shoes does not worn out even after playing 40+ hours on the same surface courts.
Not durable
Unfortunately, these pairs wear out really quickly. The shoe soles were gone in 3 weeks. I love all my Asics shoes, but not these pairs.
Fit is awesome but logevity is not
I have been buying pickleball shoes from ASICS for years. I have games and dedicates stacked in my closet. Why are they stacked you might ask? I only get 6-8 weeks of tread when playing three times a week. They wear out and I stack them in my closet for gardening shoes. The only reason I keep buying ASICS (and why I gave it two star versus one) is their fit. They fit perfectly. I have tried NB, KSwiss, Wilson, etc.... ASICS fit the best. The best feel and traction. NB (courts, not pickleball) lasts 6-7 months but lack the feel and support I desire. I just go to the Outlet store and buy two pairs at once.
Not For Pickleball
I bought these shoes in June and worn twice a week and the sole has worn through most of the padding in the shoe. This is a poor quality shoe and NOT recommended. If you are looking for a pickleball shoe, select another brand.
Great Pickleball Shoes
Great court shoe for pickleball! Comfy yet functional!
Great besides durability
Purchased these shoes approximately 1-2 months ago when I began my Pickleball journey, playing roughly three times a week. I've historically been quite hard on my footwear, and unfortunately, I managed to wear a hole in these relatively quickly. However, I must note that the overall feel, size, and other aspects of these shoes were great. Tried adding photos, but couldn't.
No support
I read other reviews about lack of support, but I've never had this problem before, so I thought I'd still give them a shot. I can confirm that these shoes have no support and will have your feet hurting the rest of the day after wearing them. My friend bought the same pair of shoes, and mentioned they are experiencing the same foot pain.
A great pickleball shoe
I have only played with them for a week. I am a big fan of ASICS. ASICS is the only court shoe that fits my foot and after 3-4 hours constant play is still comfortable. My only wish is that it would be a little lighter. At 79, I could use all the help I can get. If you have a lighter weight model please let me know.
