This rain jacket clicks ALL the boxes! OOPS-Not.

Looked extensively for a waterproof/breathable shell with the features I needed. Found this Stio just as I was about to settle for "almost" what I needed. I LOVE it. The hood is abundant and adjustable with a bill that will keep my glasses dry. The front zipper is sealed with that top edge little pocket so the tab won't dig into my neck - also there is a strip of soft felt inside the zipper. The hand pockets are ample with good zippers. Yes, there are pit zips - thank you very much. The interior pocket zips and is sized for a large phone and then some. The cuffs are adjustable with velcro but the velcro is almost soft - it works perfectly without maybe grabbing everything that passes by it. Also, the jacket is longer in the back. Some really thoughtful person designed this jacket and thought of everything. I was hoping to find a bright yellow or orange (for safety walking) and tah dah! I did order up one size so I can wear a bulky sweater underneath as we live on the coast. It fits as I would expect based on the size chart and my plan for it to be larger on me. I am so impressed with this jacket and can't wait for the next rainy day. OOPS!!! I've never had to edit a review before but I wore my new Rollick out for a walk in a steady, but light, rain and got soaked pretty good. The clothes I wore under the jacket were even wet. My shoulder-length hair was even hanging in wet strands when I got home! I kept 2 of the original 5 stars, because the jacket is perfect but you have to find one whose waterproofing has not been compromised somehow during the manufacturing process. So the deal is that this jacket is all I praised for features but Stio's rep (yep, I called them) educated me further on the waterproofing (health-safe but kinda fragile). There is definitely a manufacturing process problem with my particular jacket - is it just mine or did it occur with the entire lot provided to REI? If you are buying instore, lay it on the counter and sprinkle a few drops of water on the jacket - you will see strong beads of water or water that will smear (like butter on bread). Once you blot it dry, both the surface and the inside will show where the water was, if there is a waterproofing problem. With all our recently purchased waterproof gear, we all need to be prepared to re-apply a waterproofing product routinely. Good luck. Hope this helps everyone.

Rain was kept away

This rain jacket turned a miserably wet and cold backpacking trip into quite an enjoyable one, and I mean that. I kept bone dry in this thing while it absolutely DUMPED on me on an overnight trip on the Appalachian Trail. It's also come in handy when I need to throw a waterproof layer over my down layers while skiing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We get LOTS of rain so I find myself wearing this quite a bit. I love this jacket, money well spent.

Perfect for an 8 year old girl

I bought this jacket (rain) for an eight (8) year old girl; her parents loves it, and she loves it also. . . She's about 5'0" so I bought the "XX-Small" and I guessed right on the size, as she still has room to grow into; the fit is perfect, and it's good for all seasons, as her& her parents know how to use by layering up during the winter. . .

Seems Like a Good Rain Coat!

It hasn't been rainy enough to actually try this out yet (winter keeps coming back!), but the fabric feels like it will be waterproof and the color is great. Overall, it is high quality and seems like it will work well. I sized up one size from normal to accommodate extra layers, but it looks fine even with only a t-shirt underneath.

The Perfect coat

This coat is amazing! I was looking for a new rain coat and this exceeded expectations. It also serves as a great wind breaker. I love that the drawstrings for the hood are in the back of the hood instead of hanging by my face. I would definitely purchase more of these!

Not waterproof

Love the color (boundless) but simply packing our car for a weekend trip in the rain, water soaked through this jacket. Disappointed because other reviews said it was great at keeping them dry. I have a small frame and sized up to layer.

Rollick Hooded Jacket

I wanted a "nice" and "fully waterproof" raincoat. So far, this jacket is great. Attractive, fits well (as described). Easy to move in. I can wear a medium weight sweatshirt under it. It's also pretty "quiet" for rain gear.

Stio Rain Gear

I absolutely love this jacket!! The material flows and moves with your body and keeps you completely dry! I have received so many compliments when I wear it! It is the most comfortable rain jacket i have ever had!

Small internal pocket

This is a great jacket. It fits well and definitely kept me dry on a day-long hike in the rain. The only drawback is that the internal pocket is too small for an iPhone to fit in easily.
