Jacket performs well. Stood on street in downpour and stayed dry. Use in backcountry does not disappoint.
I took this rain jacket out for its inaugural adventure recently, and ended up backpacking for a few hours through heavy rains and a little bit of hail. This jacket kept me dry without getting too hot, and once the sun came back out, it packed away easily. I generally wear a small in Stio gear, and tried on both the small and medium in this jacket. The small fit great and was super flattering, but I ended up going with a medium just to ensure I could fit plenty of layers underneath. Without extra layers it's pretty loose, but being able to have a fleece and puffy on with it makes it more versatile for me. I'd been looking for a new rain coat for a while, and I'm stoked I landed on this jacket!
Little disappointed in the jacket for staying dry on the inside during moderate rain. The cuff area on both sleeves were wet on the inside and the rest of the body felt damp, too. Definitely not gore-Tex and not breathable. I rode it riding my bike in the rain one day and it kept the wind out. Sleeves and body are a bit long, too. (I’m normally a petite)
I usually order stio because it’s one of the few brands that make their arms long enough for me at 5’10” w broad shoulders and athletic build. I still found the arms slightly short in the XL while the body was too big and looked frumpy/fat;-(. The L was right in the body but too short in the arms shoulders.
I got this to use for trail running in the wet, soggy conditions of Southeast Alaksa and wanted to like this jacket but it was really big and baggy. I should not be an XS at 5'4" and 126 lbs but the small was just too big. I returned and am trying a different Stio jacket to see if the fit is more accurate!
The Ender is beautiful and functional! I bought the Rapids color and I love it!
