Herschel Supply Co.  Little America Mid-Volume Pack - 21 L

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a backpack that was stylish that was suitable for work (as a teacher) with good functionality. I especially wanted side water bottle pockets that was big enough to fit my 40 oz. Hydroflask with a top load-in style that wasn't TOO BIG for my petite frame (yet spacious enough to carry all the items I need in my day-to-day) and this backpack fits the bill to a tee. It also has a separate lap-top compartment and the straps are nicely padded and comfortable too. Happy I found this backpack in the Mid-size with everything I was looking for. It's perfect.

On the plus side: bag looks great and feels sturdy/of good quality. It also contains more than I was expecting. On the negative: The clasps are really not very practical and it can be hard to get things from the bag whilst on the move. The key holding hook is too short and near-impossible to open. The inside pockets are very narrow and deep making them very impractical for storing most things. The bag would have really been improved with an outside pocket for a water bottle/umbrella, which I've seen available in only one other model.

I bought the grey version and love the look. Its so cool. The inside design of the bag is smart and intuitive. That's why the four stars. I really wish it worked out. However, I was disappointed with the quality. I expected a more heavy duty material. It didn't have the durability that I expected. I frequently use the loop handle on the top of my current backpack. The same handle on the Herschel bag wouldn't last with my commute. Its a nice bag overall, just not a good fit for my needs and the demands of my commute.

I have the full size little america and this mid-size one and I really like the mid-size for everyday use like taking my laptop to and from the office! The straps are really nicely padded and the laptop sleeve is really soft on the new bags! I also love that it has a zipper on the side to reach my laptop super quickly. It definitely holds a bit less than the full size bag but for kids or just day to day office use it is perfect! For reference, the green bag in this photo is the mid-size and the black is full size :)

We bought this for a high school student. We love the quality of the bag however wished we paid more attention to the dimensions of the bag. I wish the photos of the website also included what it could fit in there. Ours currently fits a very small 1 inch binder and a pencil box. We have to cram a lunch bag in there on top. Much time is spent organizing the contents of the bag so it can fit in a certain way. This bag would be more suitable for a tech device and not much else.

The backpack is made out of a sturdy canvas material that definitely seems like it can deal with weather elements and wear and tear. The interior that holds space for laptops is also nice fur covered and well made. Overall however, it's quite small. The front pocket is also very small. If you're looking for space there isn't much in this one - probably need to size up.

This is my first Herschel backpack. I bought it for the pattern and it looks even better in person. The materials are high quality and the backpack is comfortable. I have used it on one trip so far and it fit great on the airplane. Sizing was a bit small for what I tried to put into it, but it is a great backpack for every day use for work or traveling around town

I absolutely adore this bag. Initially I bought the larger version, which turned out to be a mistake as I am 5’4. The bag was almost half my size. I had no idea lol. But this size is perfect enough to hold the essentials that I take with me to med school on a daily basis. It carries very well and is not heavy even when full. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my breast pump and supplies for work. Perfect size. It’s also super stylish. My only complaint is how stiff it is, but that isn’t problematic really. I plan to use this afterwards for camping and trips. I don’t think I could use this for a lot of stuff but it would be a good day pack if I went hiking.

Excellent quality and perfect size for travelling! The standard is too big for me in my opinion so this mod-volume is actually perfect. Very compact and functional! Many storage spaces and I like the one big compartment pocket rather than many smaller divided compartments just because it’s easier to store stuffs.
