Good day backpack/school backpack

I quite like this backpack. It has a very large main pocket that's great for traveling and daytrips. It easily fits my 15in laptop, textbooks, tablet, etc. If you're a person who carries a lot of little things around though it might not be best as there is just the one small pocket on the front that closes. The drawstring and snaps closing took a bit for me to get used to but it's very natural now. Good quality and comfortable!

I 100% adore this backpack!

This is hands down one of the best backpacks I've ever owned. It's unique and stylish, and comfortable to carry with ample room. The straps are padded so you don't hurt your shoulders and carry it, and the padded laptop sleeve so they can be accessed from two locations is a nice touch. The only thing that I would add if I could was a little more organization to the front pocket. Maybe make that larger with some sleeves for pens and other items, but I resolve that by using a small bag to organize that area. Now that I've gotten my first Herschel bag, I can't see myself every wanting anything else!

The one backpack comfortable to fit it all

Three additions from this version of Little America were truly a great upgrade. The two pockets sides for bottles or an umbrella is very useful, letting you carry more inside. The extra pocket on the top cover of the backpack is very spacious and useful to put items you need easy access to. The mechanism added to open and close the main part of the backpack is the greatest welcome change making it more accessible. The one and only downside is that the front pocket stayed the same size. A future upgrade could expand this pocket on both sides while maintaining Little America stylish look.

Nice backpack, lots of room.

I bought this backpack for work/my laptop so I didn't have to carry several bags with me everyday. I chose the sea spray color because the pictures online (for me at least) seem to have a more teal tone to them, but it is a bit more green than I expected. I bought the standard size and it's got plenty of space. Probably a little more than I needed and could have downsized to the mid-volume. However, I do wish that there was another pocket inside the pack, maybe not a zipped pocket, but something to place a glasses case or otherwise so everything isn't all piled bottom up.

This is a very nice bag. The pictures does nothing for the color. I love it.

poorly constructed and fake warranty

Don’t but this - buy a more reputable brand. The leather straps are fake synthetic material and crack and break

I will say this is taller than I anticipated. I’m adjusted to it though and actually loving it now. One of my favorite features is the side pocket access for your laptop. Since this is a drawstring bag that is a very nice feature. Also it has a top outside zipper pocket on the flap! That’s handy. The side pouches are nice and deep so if you put a water bottle in them they don’t fall out. In the same thought you can put several loose things like keys ects that are easy to grab. Not too mention it’s sturdy and cute as all get out!

Leather straps flake - not covered in warranty

After a couple years of normal use (travel) the leather straps on my bag began to breakdown and flake off. See photos attached. Knowing that Herschel has a 'lifetime warranty' and prides themselves on the quality of their products, I hoped this defect would be covered. After submitting a claim I learned that general wear, including but not limited to the breakdown of colors and materials over time is not covered by their warranty. Just know if/when your backpack starts looking like this, it won't be covered.

Holds so much stuff

I have used my Herschel backpack for years to carry picnics for guests on urban botanical hikes in New York City, and off-duty, on my own longer hikes in wilder places. They hold a surprising amount of stuff and are very durable. The soft laptop pocket is ideal for air travel. My oldest backpack has been washed (machine, then air dried) multiple times, and the only wear and tear as been the flakes of faux leather that come of the magnetic closure-tabs, and that is after many years.

Almost a great back pack

Large backpack and very sturdy. The only problem is the magnet buttons holding the straps both fell off so the flap at the top will hang loose and move with the wind.
