Thin fabric and no leg grippers
Lack of leg grippers is a big disadvantage. The shorts crawl up your leg as you ride. These work fine as a liner short.
Horrible shorts
These are truly awful. I bought these just for short rides on my trainer and they aren't even good enough for that. The seams around the waistline are especially horrible and itchy to the point I have to tuck my shirt in for them to be wearable at all.
Not So Much
There’s something not quite right about these shorts: way to much fabric between crotch and waistband means I can pull them up to my rib cage, padding is good, but I think it’s about an inch to far forward, probably good if you’re in a sprinting position, but otherwise hmm. I spent time adjusting them while riding, and couldn’t find anything that was not bothering me in some way.
They're okay. Not great.
I can feel the chamois moving around when I walk. It feels a little weird, plus the texture on the seat of the pants is so slick that it makes it hard to stay in the right position on the saddle.
