Paint is chipping so easily

It's expensive multi-tool and I expected this to last at least one year but paint is already chipping after one time use.

Cool Tool! But Heavy & Missing a Scissors!

I'm kind of a knife junkie, and up to this point in my life, have never owned a Leatherman-type tool, having used Swiss Army-type knives up until now. What I like about this Signal model is its robustness and large tools, like the saw blade. These are not tiny tools that really don't work for normal back-country applications, like sawing through 1" branches. The hammer is also strong and actually works to help pound in tent stakes. Overall, the tools is very, very well-made and strong. On the less positive side, the tool is heavy. I like to backpack ultralite, and this tool doesn't "make the cut" due to its weight vs. utility. Unless you are not sensitive to adding needless ounces to your backpack, you may want to go with a much lighter alternative. However, if you are not worried so much about weight, since your daily hikes are short, or you are camping in one location or kayak camping, this is an excellent overall tool and hard to beat for handling the sort of needs that often arise. What I miss, in terms of tools though, is the lack of scissors. I don't like the idea of having to carry separate scissors, or rely upon another person for scissors. It seems obvious that the tool should contain scissors, especially for the high price, but it does not. My only other complaint is that I had to watch a Youtube video to figure out how to open or close several of the tools. There is no instruction manual, and at least for me, a first-timer, it wasn't obvious. The leather case is first rate!
