Very warm for its weight, but still a medium weight jacket
When ordering this jacket, I wasn't sure if this was a summit-ready heavy parka or more of a mid-weight belay jacket, and it's definitely more of the latter. It's very warm for its weight, and for my jacket at least the down distribution is very good. The baffels are quite large, which means more clumping but less wind penetration. The main downside of the jacket is a pretty thin outer shell which seems like it could rip quite easily. The main upside is the packability. An inner chest pocket doubles as a packing pocket, and ultimately this jacket packs down to the size of a small loaf of bread - great for the amount of warmth you get from the jacket!

Alpine furnace
Before I jump to the praise the downside on this jacket is that it tears SO easily. Anytime I get close to brushing up to anything I get uncomfortable. The "ripstop" fabric does nothing to stop rips, but it's down what did you expect. HOWEVER, this thing is a furnace and everytime I put it on I smile at just how lightweight the thing is. When somebody gives me a hug they laugh as if they just deflated the Michelin man and then leave with pangs of jealousy because they know I am warmer than they are. Pockets are great for wearing with a climbing harness and the dual zipper on the front is super convenient. I love this jacket for what it is. An ultra lightweight, not durable, perfectly featured big puffy.

Very light, very warm
I got this jacket mostly for ski touring and winter camping. It's very warm, almost not worth wearing in anything over 25F or so. I'm 6'2 170 lb and got a medium which fits well, a large would have been easier to throw over more layers though. The sleeves are nice and long which I appreciate as someone with longish arms. The sleeves are a little tight when putting the jacket on but fine once it's on. Also the 900 fill is crazy and I love how small this jacket packs down. I wish it had external chest pockets but that would make it heavier I guess.

Super light, very warm. Excellent overall.
First off, this jacket is super light and has awesome loft (140g of 900+ down). I've mostly worn it with a light sweatshirt underneath while walking my dog and I have been very comfortable at 10deg. I would say it is very comparable to my Arc'teryx Cerium LT. The Meron IN is definitely warmer, has a longer cut, and has the same lightweight technical feel. If the wind picks up you'll want a to throw a hardshell over it though, fabric is just not heavy enough to stop high winds. The interior isn't as soft as I was expecting but that is a minor complaint. Very versatile as well, i've used its as an outer later in cold days and a midlayer on very cold days. A+ all-around down jacket for anything from mountaineering to walking the dog in January.

Light and very warm!
For the amount of loft in the Meron IN Hooded Jacket, it's got to be close to the lightest jacket I've ever used. The arms fit snug, so if you want to put on a shell over-top, it's easy to slide your arms through that second layer. It packs down very small if you want to stash it in a pack to pull out later (like sitting on a ski lift or glassing spot). Zippers are hardy and easy to operate with gloves on. If you are looking for a high quality, light weight and extremely warm puffy, I'd put this one at the top of your hit list.

OK if you're never leaving the house
If you want a super warm, super comfy jacket to stroll the streets in this might be for you. On paper its fantastic, first try on was fantastic. 1st time I zipped it up the fabric split along the side of the zipper from just the force of holding the bottom of the jacket while zipping. Down everywhere...Can't imagine hiking, belaying, or any other activity where this jacket would hold up. Company was difficult to contact and even more difficult to work with. Replaced with a Rab and haven't looked back

Great coat for warmth
I have had this coat for probably a month now and it's perfect for cold interior alaska temperatures. In the month I have had it, however, I have already gotten 4 tears in it. It seems as though the trade off for it being a super lightweight warm jacket is that the fabric tears super easily which I think is important to keep in mind. Overall I am happy with the jacket I am wary however to use it as an everyday jacket because i am afraid of getting more holes in it

Great warm and packable coat
The coat is very warm in all situations. While it is not a wind blocker per say, it still does a great job of keeping you warm. Out of all the coats I have in this fill range, this one is by far the most packable of them. That being said, the fabric on this coat makes a fair bit of noise compared to others. I'm guessing this is due to how well it packs down. Pocket placement is great and there is even a small pocket behind your back for a key. Great product!

Lightweight and Super Warm Insulation Layer
Purchased this jacket in XL (6', 175lbs) as a safety layer to go over everything when ski touring and mountaineering, . Super light and packable. Great cut with long arms and torso. The safety orange is perfect for my purposes. As others have mentioned, this jacket is a great insulation layer for a layering system, not a burly belay parka built for abuse. That's perfect for my needs and I appreciate the super light weight. Just what I was looking for.

Ultra warmth
I purchased this to wear on absolute frigid windy days and it did not disappoint. It's by far the warmest thing I own. It's even packable enough so that I can throw a hard shell over it if the wind is persistent enough. I've had it on in -25 temps with the windchill and was absolutely comfortable. Highly recommend. You will never be cold again. Took a little getting use to the zipper being opposite but not an issue. And nice large pockets.
