Received mine recently and it immediately became my "go-to." The breathability on the sides and under the arm are amazing. It's got a tailored fit, which is awesome under a shell and looks sharp as an outer layer. It limits you to how bulky of a vest you can wear under it, but the stretchy panels help accommodate an extra layer under it. The sleeves are longer than most down jackets I own which helps me as I am tall. (I'm 6-4, 200lbs and wear a Large). It's durable enough to ride around on the floor of pickup truck and wipes off easily. Likely will add the blue one next season!
The jacket is of a high quality there is no doubt about that. But ultimately it wasn't quite what I was expecting which is 100% my fault for having different expectations. My main issue is with the fit in the forearms. It has a nice, fitted cut throughout the entire jacket. It could possibly be slightly trimmer in the lower torso as well. But the forearms are "baggy" when compared to the rest of the jacket. Also the zipper is on the left side rather than the right. Takes a small amount of time to adjust to.
Amazing looking. Typical Mammut, top notch materials and construction. Could be improved for multi-use. Compromised range of motion. Jacket rides up when arms are raised. No elastic cuff at sleeves
All the marketing material for this say it's a mens coat, yet the cut, fit and zipper are all in line with a traditional female garment. E.g. It zips from the opposite side of most mens coats. The length is longer than I expected and the sleeves don't have a way to tighten them, so they are wider than necessary. The coat seems to be warm though (only warn in 2x so far) which is what really matters.
Love this as a layer under a shell skiing when its cold out but it looks very nice and fits great on its own. Great breathability with the fleece panels, surprising warm, really very noticable, insulation. Fit is snug but perfect for my use.
My new favorite jacket. Slim cut, clean look, and featherweight warm. Material is prone to cut and snag damage like any 'puffer' type jacket.
perfect jack to use under a shell when skiing on colder days. Snug but not too tight. A lot of warmth without a lot of bulk
love the fit. the zipper pull being on the left side throws me off, but getting used to it.
Snug, but excellent fit given the construction that allows for freedom of movement. Warm.
