I had foot pain from the moment I out them on. The overall shoe is fine, if a bit flat. The shoe is designed to curve the ball of the foot inward however, and it raises the outside ball of your foot high, squeezing that area. Walking in it causes your foot to want to roll inward, or you'll have to walk on the lateral side of your foot just to not have your knees knocking together. I couldn't even manage to walk on the sidewalk for ten minutes in these. I made the trip home in just my socks instead.
I have trouble finding sliip-in shoes and hiking boots that fit me. I tried Skechers and had to send them back. These shoes are great if you want some good quality shoes for day-to-day use. For hiking, they might be perfect for you depending on the shape of your feet. For me, if I tie them tightly enough that I get no heel raise on a hike, then they are difficult to slip into. If I make them easy to slip into, there is some slight heel raise. It's not bad, and I've gone on a few three-mile hikes without blisters or discomfort. This might improve after they are worn in more. For hiking, there isn't very much side-to-side support. I'm impressed with the quality and the heft of the shoes. One reviewer said they are a little tricky to slip into. That's not at all the case.
Nice construction but very narrow width and shoe runs very small. Have worn Hoka shoes for about seven years now. During that time I've found with Hoka brand shoes that size, width and support vary widely between models and what is 2E wide in one shoe is narrower than a D width in the other. These look nice but sending them back. Am going to explore other brands. Salesman in an REI store said the company has 36 models of shoes with with new variations coming out two times a month.
