Smith  Shoutout ChromaPop Glass Polarized Sunglasses

this is going to sound dramatic, but when I put these sunglasses on, I feel complete as a human being. I've had many pairs of smiths, but these are "the one"s. a more practical review: I wear these while running trails and rivers. the lightweight feel is amazing. the polarized chromapop is bomber especially on the water. the wider coverage is a must for sunny NM. I even wear them when it's overcast because I barely notice they're on + they keep bugs from flying in my eyes. when I put these on I feel like I could run 10000 miles or send it through some gnarly class 10 rapids. really can't ask for much more from a pair of sunglasses.

I previously owned a pair of Smith Pinpoint ChromaPop Polarised and absolutely loved them. They were made in Italy. By comparison, the Chinese made Shoutout ChromaPop Polarised are absolute junk. The plastic squeaks, the lens are poorly fitted in the frame, the hinges are unevenly tightened. The worse of all is that, compared to the Italian made Pinpoint ChromaPop, these lens dull the colours and completely lack contrast. They don't feel ChromaPop at all. All in all, I hate these glasses; they look good in photos but are awful in reality. Don't know if there's an Italian made Shoutout, but these Chinese ones are a joke.

I purchased these glasses for both on the water use, as well as, casual wear. They fit the bill perfectly. The larger frame works for both larger faces and smaller ones like mine. There is some gap at the edges of the square frames that don't quite block all the glare but the darker polarization makes them perfect for days of high sun on the water. The lightweight frames cut down on the pressure points on your nose and behind the ears when wearing them for extended periods of time like I do. Casual and classic to wear around town, enough features to make them a good choice for long days on the water.

These glasses replaced my previous pair of Smith glasses which were a plastic type lens with both polarized and photochromic options. These didn’t darken as much as I liked while driving or not and is why I chose these. Back in the 70’s I had a pair for glass photochromic sunglasses which went from clear to real dark but don’t know what happened to them. I also think the non glass lens’s would scratch much easier and is another reason I wanted glass. Don’t listen to others who think a glass lens is going to be heavier, b/c it’s not. These shoutout polarized with blue mirror glasses are light in weight compared to my Ray-Ban Wayfarers from the 80’s which are heavy with glass lens’s. So the style is great but the size is somewhat good but could be a touch smaller. I also chose the mirror for that sun to bounce back. These are great glasses and you’ll be happy if you purchase them.

Love the design and ChromaPop technology! Surroundings look vivid even with the tint. Also enjoying how the Megol nose pads help the shades stay put even with sunscreen/ oily nose. The unisex fit is flattering and has good coverage for medium faces.

I usually get guides choice sunglasses but this time I wanted a cheaper comparable pair so I went with the forge. Fits great, good coverage too. The matte brown tortoise color is great. They look great. Loving the glasses.

Perfect fit for my face; they’re not too tight like others to give me a headache. I’ve received a lot of compliments on how they look, too. I love the pink mirrored look.
