Just as perfect as I was hoping!
I’d been holding out for these and was so excited to finally snag them. The fit is just so comfortable. My favorite part is the wide toe box. I work at a garden center and chose these for all the rain and winter work. And solve they wipe off so easily, I can still wear them for casual outings and not be stuck using them only for work. If you need them to be especially warm, I’d suggest very warm, thick socks or layering, as these aren’t meant to be snow boots or otherwise handle particularly freezing temps. But if needed for general winter wear and switching from work to casual outfits, these are absolutely perfect!
Dog work
I use these boots for the work I do at my local animal shelter. It can get quite wet and mussy on occasion. The last pair of "rain boots" I had gave me terrible blisters on the back of my heels every time I wore them for any extended amount of time. Day one in these Muck Boots and they're so much better for me. Not one blister, roomy enough for a thicker pair of socks come winter, and have kept my feet dry from any exterior wetness. That being said, I do run warm so my feet do sweat in the boots a bit... but even this seems slightly less than in the last pair from a different brand. Not sure I'd dp long hikes in these, but they work for what I need.
The only boots for me!!!
Let me start by saying that I have never found boots that I find comfortable and I've tried all the top brands. These are THE BEST. I've worn them everyday in the fall and now well into new england winter... hiking, working on the cabin, chopping wood, trekking through the river, and they are so comfortable, waterproof and gorgeous *My favorite features*: - comfort (alwaysss a must) - 100% waterproof - slide on and off with ease - traction - flexible - lightweight yet durable - for everyday use
Easy Fit Comfort boots
I found these boots and decided to try. I liked the ideas of laces and leather. I have narrow feet and have always had trouble with outdoor garden type boots or shoes. These were perfect fitting. I ordered an 8 and because of my narrow feet these really did fit perfectly in length and width. The laces helps to get them snug if you want. So when I walk the boots Then stay on well and secure. I like these for when it rains or bad weather. I can rake leaves or walk the dog and take them off in the garage which I keep them in there at all times so I can grab a chair and put them on or off when going outdoors. Perfect fit for a woman and I have narrow feet. There is no breaking in period. Wear instantly well. And I have picky feet. I would get these if you are looking at these beauties.
Love my boots - second pair
I absolutely love these boots. The first set I purchased failed with the rubber sole separating from the shoe. I reached out to Much to let them know and they replaced the shoe with no issues. There is one odd issue with the second pair where there seems to be a void in the heel where I can feel the shoe sink into the sole - it makes a sticky sound as if gummy adhesive is taking up that void. I can manage the weird void issue since the shoe is so comfy and cool looking.
Not for mildly cold weather
Nice looking and comfortable, but cold. These boots feel like uninsulated rubber boots. So, if that’s what you’re looking for, great! I was hoping to wear these to and from the car/house during our northern MN winters. Not needing an immense level of insulation but enough to not freeze if I stepped in little snow. I tested these when our temps were mild, around 30 degrees and the ground was snow covered. After wearing them 2 times in these conditions, my feet were uncomfortably cold. I tried to return them and was told I could not unless they are in their original packaging. Not sure how someone can know how a product purchased online will work if they are unable to try it. My family loves our other Muck boots (arctic sport and kids winter boots) and hoped these would be a great in between boot, but they fell short.
AWESOME Boot!
Absolutely love these. Comfortable footbead, warm enough without being too hot for Fall. So much better than my Bogs AND my LLBean boots in comfort, warmth and function. Love the height, and the tread/traction is fantastic. I also love that I can keep these laced up and still slip them on and off, yet they keep horse bedding from getting in my boots. Hoping they last! If you are a half size, I'd size up. Half sizes and a variety of widths would be amazing!
Beautiful Boot but not warm or waterproof.
I just received my new Originals Duck Lace boot. I love the way they look and feel when on. However, when I got my boot wet around where the leather is stitched to the rubber, it was not waterproof. Our temps are in the teens/20's right now and my feet were not warm. My toes were so cold while out doing chores this morning, I had to come in and warmup. The information states that they are waterproof and rated -65F. I am disappointed.
Perfect for the Fall
I love these boots for the fall, early winter months! They fit perfect and are comfortable to wear but my only issue is the linning has given me a blister on the back of my lower ankle. I've even tried higher, thicker socks but it rubs my skin in the wrong spot, which makes it uncomfortable to wear continuously. Also, they are definitely not for cold weather as your toes will freeze!
Surprisingly comfortable
This is my first pair of Muck boots. Got them to replace some Eddie Bauer duck boots that were cute but always super stiff and uncomfortable. These Muck boots are cuter than I expected, and the leather is super soft and supple. The inside is nicely padded, including the footbed. I find these very cozy and comfortable to wear on dog walks and running errands all day.
