All my spare flashlights disappeared, it was time to get a real flashlight. the PD35R is a serious little piece - took a little bit to charge out of the box (hours) but the max brightness setting is BRIGHT, and while it drains the battery faster (per the manual) I can't imagine it would be consistently necessary in my use cases (hike/camp, other exploration, "wait where'd that thing go that I dropped"). Build feels very solid in hand, the size is just right for me.
It is a great flashlight. Only reason not 5 stars is sometimes it gets turned on in my pocket. Well worth the money and spare batteries are inexpensive.
