Quality brand
Peak is one of my favorite brands and let me tell you eating this mid trail at the Grand Canyon when it’s 30 degrees just warms your soul. Perfect pick me up for breakfast too if you have a sweet tooth! It doesn’t have that weird after taste that most dehydrated meals have. As always, be sure to add a pinch more water to help the pound cake fully cook (:
Amazing backpacking snack
Tastes amazing, I will definitely be getting this again soon. The cake pieces were still a little crunchy when I ate it but it was definitely my fault for not waiting long enough (it was cold out) and it was still amazing that way. Just enough to share with another person but can still be eaten alone after a long day.
Yummy even if you didn't hike very far at all...
Surprisingly tasty—and it's not one that tasted good just because you hiked really hard... I ate this last summer after a mere 2 miles of backpacking—such a short distance I was feeling very underworked. But passing this meal around the campfire was SUCH a treat and I genuinely haven't stopped thinking about when my next trip is so I can eat this again with my friends. Something about the texture and lack of that common weird freeze dried after taste is what I think this meal gets right.
Yumm
This was really yummy! I enjoyed the texture. The cake was soft and the granola gives it a nice crunch. It’s definitely staying in my rotation.
Best Backpacking Dessert I've had!
Don't hesitate - put this in your cart! We've tried every variety of backpacking desserts out there, and this one is a complete winner. Excellent flavor, nice textures instead of just the typical mush, and generous portion for two.
Do it!!!
Yum! Really delicious....and the cake pieces are good without hydrating 😅. Only complaint is could be heavier on the peaches, but would for sure get again!
perfect treat
Very Very Tasty treat will buy again
