Practical and adorable!
I got the freesip twist because I like how it fits in cupholders, is more mechanically simple, and has a more timeless look than the regular freesip. To me, those look more like baby bottles and will likely go out of trend quickly. The straw takes in a lot of water effortlessly and the chug spout flows much smoother than drinking out of the side of a traditional Hydroflask. This size isn’t too heavy or bulky, making it easy to carry anywhere. They need to make more colors of this model and larger sizes for those who want it! I love the overall look and performance of this product and would recommend it to those looking for that Owala straw-chug function with a different appearance!
Great bottle you'll want to bring everywhere
I was looking for a bottle I could sip from a straw and fit in my car cup holder. It also fits in my backpack. I'm drinking a lot more water with this bottle! The free sip spout is 1000% better than I thought it was going to be! The whole bottle feels really well made. I don't feel like the bottle cap is going to break compared to some of the other owala bottles. Some things I don't like as much are filling the bottle up with ice. I wish I could drop the cubes without unscrewing the free sip spout. You need mini ice cubes for that. Also there are more pieces to clean on this bottle as compared to my other water bottle. ***these cons feel more like a nuisance and I like the bottle soooooo much that I didn't want to deduct any points for these***
Sleek Design!
It’s been awhile since I’ve bought a new water bottle - I loved the design when I saw in store and decided to go for it! After just a few days, I loved it so much I bought 3 more for my family as holiday gifts. I love that it has built-in straw functionality as well as sipping capability. Since I’ve had this 24oz bottle, I can easily drink 4 in a day, helping me hit my goal of 100 oz of water a day, the straw really helps with that.
Should Have Thot More
Like the product and the sip concept, however not as sold on 3 major things for me which means this will not likely be my daily user. One, takes 2 hands to take a drink; flip design would be better. Two, and this one is future, but not sold on the strength of the string; prefer the rubber loop from hydro flask. Third and most important, they do not sell a boot for this model and can't expect it to be too long before I drop it and then it goes on the shelf with all my other dented water bottles. Note to others; the hydro flask boot fits this model I can have a hybrid going.
Awesome for airplane travel and Fizzy Drinks!!!
I travel a lot on airplanes. The other models by Owala have to be opened before takeoff to account for the change in cabin pressure. I had the experience where I forgot to open it before take off when I opened it cold water spurted on me and the 3 rows behind me. Not fun. This model however, since it can accommodate carbonated beverages as well (which I use it all the time for) can stay closed and I've had no issues upon opening it once in the air (carbonated beverage or not). This is the clear winner of all their bottles. Plus since it is slimmer it does fit in the cup holder and all bags. The handle is super easy to carry it by. However I did drop it and it now has a dent on the bottom, so it does not sit straight. If they made the bottle boot for this model (which I hope they do soon) then it would help stabilize it and stop it from rocking every time I put it down on a flat surface. It is comfortable to hold no matter what size hand you have. I love it and will be buying more to swap out my old water bottles. Hope they make one more size too that is bigger. Just get it! It is the best on the market.
Versatile and sleek!
This water bottle has been my go-to for work. It holds enough water while still being sleek. It's quiet, and the option to sip without a visible straw makes it a great choice during meetings. So far, mine has been easy to keep clean. The straw portion does need to be cleaned regularly, but it's easy to hand wash if you have a straw cleaner!
Not The Greatest
The more I used this water bottle, the less I liked it. It is very quick to develop mold and you need to clean it regularly, I contacted Owala about it and their suggestion was that you could “buy another cap”. Not sustainable when all I’d need is the silicone parts. The cap IS smart and I like being able to hold it by the cord at the top, but if you don’t have the top on very tight it can come loose and spill.
Buy this bottle!
I love this bottle! It is such a pretty color and the straw is so easy to sip out of. I like that it is narrower than the traditional owala bottle. I had been holding off on purchasing one of those because I thought they were too clunky.
More versatile than Stanley’s
Skinny design fits well in backpacks and the versatile drinking system works great
