I bought the Scree last year and have used it for multiple local day hikes on the AT and other trails in Virginia. I just returned from using it as my pack for my 6-day hike of the West Highland Way in Scotland. It’s such a fantastic pack. It’s tough, super adjustable and very comfortable. Sometimes I miss the two exterior front pockets my Coulee 30 has, but I adjust my packing style accordingly. I also used the Scree as a carry-on bag (overhead bin) on my flights. It worked great for that too. Love MR’s quality and features. (Aside from the Scree and Coulee, I also have a Bridger 45.)
We got this pack before a 12 day trip to the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah. Up and down rock formations all day meant a lot of layering up and down. We were able to fit clothing for both of us, but 2 Nalgenes and snacks for the day! Adjustable frame meant we could adjust it to be comfortable for my wife or myself.
Bought for fiancé as a bday gift right before trip to GNP! She loved it. Perfect size and fit day hiking gear, water, food. Comfortable and sturdy back support and straps. She thought the waistband was comfortable as well. Elastic straps on the front were handy to secure trekking poles. I used an MR pack as well for the trip (Pinter with GL frame). Both performed flawlessly over the course of 3 days and 40 miles. We will continue to buy MR packs in the future! Thanks MR.
The overall fit is nothing short of outstanding. I walk to work and carry my uniform in this pack, and my top priority in a pack is fit and comfort. Although I would prefer to have more organization features (key keeper, admin pocket, etc.) nothing compares to the fit and feel of this pack. As a 5”4 female I have struggled to find a rugged, well-fitting pack, but the Scree 32 ended the search...overall great pack!
Bought this for my daughter to use for mountain climbing. We climbed this past weekend on a 11 mile 6,000 vertical foot trip and it performed perfectly. Very comfortable pack that has the capacity for a wide-range of gear. Also has the ability to be used on various types of terrain from easy trail to off-trail trips. I think the women specific features make a big difference.
Purchased this pack for short getaways and air travel. Fits great into overhead storage or under seat during flights. As a thin 5’8” female, the M/L works great for my build. Simple to adjust and the padding is wonderfully comfortable. Material is lightweight so I hope it holds up to future adventures. I deployed using MR gear and the company has yet to disappoint!
I purchased this pack to replace my hydration pack for family hikes. I have now become the family pack mule. This pack carries a 3L water bladder, the first aid kit, lunch for 4, snacks too, and a blanket for lunch. When my 5 year old tires of carrying her pack, I clip it to mine. I don’t notice a difference between this pack loaded down and my old hydration pack.
I bought this in August and have used it for hikes in Colorado Wilderness areas. While I have only used it for hikes up to 11 miles, there is plenty of room for longer. Easy access (because of the the 3 zipper closure) to all of my gear is the biggest reason I love it, but it also comfortably carries a relatively large amount of gear.
I just bought this to replace my daypack that I've had for going on 10 years now, so there were some big shoes to fill. I love it so far! I've only taken it out on desert hikes, but the zippers are awesome, there's enough organization sleeves and pockets, it's comfortable, adjustable, and seems really sturdy. I'm stoked!
I've been enjoying my kayak and the trail a lot this summer and my old pack wasn't cutting it. This bag is very well put together, I expect it to survive for a long time. Pockets are very streamlined and fantastic to use!
