Great for horseback riders too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love these shirts for horseback riding! Love the extra lite weight material compared to PFG model, SPF 40, 2 pockets, great length. Not clingy & very soft! Just ordered my 2nd one. Would of ordered #3 but don't like dominant color stripes going around my body.

Pretty and practical but the sleeves are let down

I like clothes that can do double duty when I travel for work. The Nocturnal Flowers pattern is pretty enough for business casual and does a good job of hiding the occasional coffee spill. Quick dry is always great on the go, and I can wear it to hike and kayak after work, too. Not having a zipped pocket on the side is good so I can tuck it in if I want. The shoulder vents are just okay, but the sleeves are a real downside for me. They're too long, and I'll probably need to have them altered. Loops would have been helpful to keep them rolled up, and I really miss having that second set of buttons at the wrist to make the cuffs fit more snugly.

Good hiking shirt

I love that I get two pockets. some of your women's shirts don't have any, which is a shame. I need a place to put my sunglasses too. I am sad that the vents only bring air to my shoulders and not to my back, like the one my husband has. Just because we are women doesn't mean our shoulders sweat instead of our backs. unlike the other reviewers, I like the fabric. It feels synethic at first but when I wear this in the sun it is so light and cooling and so far the bugs haven't been able to get through. I will probably get another if better prints come out but really hope that women can have a back vent next time.

Why mess with success?

I've bought 6--8 of these shirts over the past few years and have always loved them. Very flattering fit, and yet excellent for outdoor activities. Not any more! Although the product description doesn't mention this, the princess seams are gone, both front and back. And the back vents are also changed making them less effective for releasing heat away from the body. Also, the back is now longer than the front, a look I don't care for. But what frosts me the most is the inaccurate sizing. The small has always worked for me (I wear size 6), But the shirt I just ordered in size small is huge. And when I went to reorder it in extra small, it was sold out. Very frustrating!!

The fabric is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just discovered this Silver Ridge line. The fabric for this version washes well, no wrinkles and is cool on hot days. I prefer the traditional pockets with top openings on last years version. I have no use for a pocket with openings on the side. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the side pocket, it is truly ‘wash and wear’. The photos of the two striped shirts don’t look like the actual shirts. The blue stripes are more prominent and the stripes are more subtle in the version with pink.

Solid backpacking shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for backpacking when I want sun protection on my arms. It's very lightweight, scrunches up easily and doesn't get too wrinkly. Took off one star because I wish it were snaps all way down instead of buttons and I wish there was a way to roll up sleeves and secure them, but it's not a huge deal. I imagine I'll be reaching for this shirt quite a bit regardless. Length is plentiful on the back side and plenty of space in the shoulders to move easily.

Love this Women's Silver Ridge shirt.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice pattern! The new design (snaps at top, dropped the right-seam zippered pocket that puckered the fabric) is nice. I love this fabric. It is soft and warm when chilly and cool when hot outside. Great sun protection. I do miss the lovely deep emerald green and the bright port-wine colors you offered for this shirt a few years ago. I would have purchased multiple of these colors had I known you would be discontinue.

Back up Shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the same shirt in the purple/pink colors and it was so comfortable I thought I'd get another in the mauve. However, the mauve is too faded looking. My bad that I also bought it a size smaller because the prior one was a tad too big. This one just fits when standing and moving about but the front gaps when seated. Should have stuck with the larger size. Still, I can wear it for working around the yard.
