Looks cool, but I would go with metal.

Not a huge fan of the material. Any time I buy something that I will take with me to go backpacking or camping, I always want to make sure that it is made of some sort of metal. The reason for that is half of the time you are cooking, its something hot and I am afraid of the plastic melting and destroying the produc.t This seems like a fun item, but I would not buy it again personall

Great Lightweight Utensils

This is a very light utensil set that (so far) has been very durable. It is compact and I like that you can snap it together to make one long utensil - ideal for walking tacos or eating out of aluminum cans. It's also sturdy enough to scrape the bottom of pot. Ideally, this is great for backpacking... but I even like to use it for my packed lunches for work. Would love it if a knife came with it as well. You can cut some things with the beveled sides of the utensils, but a knife would be easier.

A versatile and well designed combo set

A light, versatile, and durable set. There is a lot to like. First, it is 2 sepearate utensils for independant use, or to share. It has a true spoon and fork, versus the spork setup, which makes eating a variety of foods easier. It is lightweight and quiet compared metal, but still a durable multi-use nylon that will outlast the disposable plastic stuff and won't break when stored loose. They nest securely together for super compact storage. The best part is you can join them end to end to reach the bottom of your meal bag or Jet-boil without dirtying up your fingers. The only con, for me, is the fork is a bit fat, so it is not ideal for tougher cuts of meet. I think it is simply a trade-off for durability. I keep a set in my travel backpack, and have used them for everything from camping to eating take out in my hotel room, after they forgot my utensils. Overall a great buy for the camper, backpacker, and avid traveller.

Great for eating on the go!

This is a handy utensil set that’s perfect for a minimalist hiking/camping set up. Being able to attach the spoon to the fork both short and long ways is ingenious! Perfect for getting into those deep cans or food pouches without getting anything on your hands. My only “gripe” (and it’s a small one) is I wish they put the tapered “knife” edge on the spoon instead of the fork. You are more likely to use a knife and fork than a spoon and fork. Either way, it’s nice to have something that can be used to cut without having to add another piece to the kit. Highly recommended for anytime you need to eat on the go. Whether it’s in the office or on the mountain.

Great On The Go Utensils

These are very handy utensils, especially for on the go or take out lunches. Far better than the plastic utensil supplied by most takeaway restaurants. Really appreciate the compact size and nature of these tools. I keep them in the car for easy access anytime. Superior to other recyclable plastic single use combo utensils.

Work great indoors and outside

These utensils are comfortable to use, surprisingly durable and convenient. Great for eating at my desk or outdoors. I keep a set in the car for take out as well. They do clip together for storage or for combining the length.

Fun design, easy to pack

I've always used a long handled spoon for getting into those hard to reach corners of freeze dried meals, but those long spoons are hard to pack. This innovative design turns shorter utensils into one longer implement. I was concerned about how stable the attachment would be, but this turns out to be a very secure design. I had no problems with the pieces coming apart while really stirring hard. They seem to be very lightweight and durable.

Compact, lightweight and extendable utensil combo

It’s a great choice for use while camping or backpacking especially with the additional length when combining the two - particularly useful for reaching the freeze dried meal bags. The only downside is the fork feels more like a spork and not great for smaller food bits (i.e. pasta). Otherwise, concept is great and it’s extremely lightweight/compact with the sliding feature that keeps the utensils together.

Love this!

I really love this fork and soon set. It’s compact and versatile. I’ve used it backpacking and…….daily in my lunchbox for work. The fork and spoon can be used singly, or keep attached if you prefer a longer utensil to hold. I like that it’s easily packable in a small space and is just like a fork and spoon from your utensil drawer at home without the bulk and weight. Of course it’s easy to clean. Absolutely recommended for anyone who likes to eat something on the trail, that is more substantial than a packaged bar. It’s a no brainer in my daily lunch box for work. I use it every day.

Good not Great!

The GoBites Bio Duo Fork and Spoon set is an interesting concept. There are several pros. First, it is very sturdy and doesn't flex much when used snapped together. It's stiff enough that it can easily be used for cutting some foods. It's light weight and cleans easily. When snapped together it makes an excellent long eating utensil. When not snapped together, its short and a little easier to pack. That leads me to my one drawback. When using just one part, either the fork or the spoon, I found it to be a little short to comfortably eat with. Yes, you can eat with it, but if you hold the either part slightly above the rounded part, then the end of the utensil sits low in the crook of your hand (the area between the thumb and first finger). It's not a deal breaker, but sort of defeats part of the purpose of the snap together design. If you hold it close to the rounded part, then you risk getting food on your hand. It just wasn't ideal for me. I probably have average sized hands.
