don’t buy this!

What a sham. I bought this thinking refills would be economical- not all at. $11 to refill. You can buy a new disposable unit for much less. Not to mention Sports Basement sells a refillable canister for the same price and gives you 5 free refills a year, and then $2 a refill. This was a mistake and I’m disappointed in REI for selling this.

Only in Denver

Hey, this is a great product, obvious waste reduction product, but I have been traveling the US this year, bought this in Denver thinking I could do a refill-trade in at any other rei store - I have been to maybe 8 Rei’s since Denver in 6 other states, and not a single one carries it. So $22 for this one can - money wasted.

Not compatible with all stoves

Multiple employees talked me into this at REI and told me it would be compatible with the Coleman 222 campstove. When connected, no propane was coming out. I switched to the Coleman propane and it worked flawlessly. It’s a great concept but it was frustrating to have to go to rei in the middle of a camping trip because of inaccurate information.
